Thank you, Schaumburg Township, for sharing this look back at our history. For 55 years, Kenneth Young Center has been proud to serve Township residents and surrounding communities with behavioral health, older adult, and community health services. We’re grateful for this longstanding partnership and the role we’ve played together in supporting our community.

From the June 1987 Town Crier: On May 4, 1987, the Elk Grove–Schaumburg Townships Mental Health Center was renamed the Kenneth W. Young Centers in honor of Reverend Kenneth W. Young.

Leaders shared that the decision reflected his lasting impact and commitment to community care, noting that his spirit of outreach and service closely aligned with the Center’s mission. (Pictured is Chief Executive Officer, Judson Stone)
