Our team had a wonderful time out in the community at Bubbles & Bites this past weekend!!🥂🫧 At this whimsical & lively event supporting the Senior Center of Elk Grove, the day was filled with delicious bites, sparkling sips, and a shared sense of connection and joy. Bruceville Point was proudly represented by our Community Relations Director, Meg, Counselor Maricel, and Dining Experience Director Danyale, connecting, sharing smiles, and celebrating alongside so many others.

We’re especially proud to share that our team took home the award for Best Presentation, bringing creativity, heart, and a little extra magic to the day 🥂🫧 Events like these are such a beautiful reminder that what we do extends far beyond our walls. It’s about building relationships, showing up for one another, and being part of something bigger. 💚

Team Connect + St. Patrick’s Day = a little extra luck and a lot of heart 🍀💚 We celebrated our team, shared some laughs, and played a “Who Am I” game that proved we know our residents far beyond the basics: their stories, their memories, and the moments that make them who they are. That’s the kind of connection that truly matters. Of course we had to snap some shamrockin’ photos!!

The leadership team at Bruceville Point had the opportunity to spend meaningful time with Tom, the owner of Tenfold Senior Living, as part of its continued journey of growth and reflection!! It served as a reminder that true leadership is not defined by titles or positions, but by presence, humility, and trust. Real leadership listens. It asks questions. It invites others into the conversation and creates space for voices to be heard. When that kind of leadership is present, it becomes something you can almost feel in the air: a quiet sense of steadiness that allows people to do their work with confidence and heart.

For teams, leadership rooted in trust changes the atmosphere of everyday work. It feels like being seen and knowing your ideas matter and your efforts are valued. It gives people the courage to speak honestly, to grow, and to support one another without hesitation. When leaders lead with openness and integrity, it creates a ripple effect that reaches far beyond the leadership table… it moves through the hallways, through the conversations between coworkers, and through the way we show up for our residents and families each day! In this way, leadership becomes something shared: a collective commitment to care for one another and for the community we are all a part of.

We are also VERY proud to recognize Jaime, our Events & Adventures Director, for completing an optional Leadership Journey program: a nine-month commitment centered on growth, reflection, and curiosity. Each month, Jaime dedicated an hour and a half to thoughtful discussion, reading, and reflective exercises designed to challenge perspectives and expand understanding. Choosing to embark on a journey like this requires openness and the willingness to pause, to learn, and to consider new ways of thinking and leading. Jaime’s commitment to that process speaks not only to his dedication as a leader, but to his belief that growth is something we never truly finish. The insight, care, and perspective he brings back to our community through that experience continues to shape the spirit of Bruceville Point in meaningful ways. !!!!!! 🥳

Thinking about the next chapter? 🌟 This blog post breaks down how to know when it might be the right time to consider a senior living community - making the decision a little less stressful and a lot more informed.

Deciding when to move to senior living is tricky. There is no right answer, as everyone’s situation is different.

The PT Cruisers have done it! They conquered through the world of Fantasy and explored a ruined fortress, an underground river, a haunted tomb, and the dragon's tower becoming the Seekers of the Shard! Big thanks to Sandbox VR for an incredible experience!

Alincia and her dad Junior crushed it as always at Happy Hour last Friday!! Their mix of upbeat tunes and heartfelt songs had residents smiling, singing along, and even twisting in their seats - quite literally when “Let’s Do the Twist” started playing. Speaking of Happy Hour… Lance, one of our favorite country singers, will be performing today at 3:30pm in the Bistro so residents, we can’t wait to see you there!!! 🤠

Tina has been such an important part of the Bruceville Point family for many years, and her time as Business Director has helped shape our community in countless ways. Through her dedication, hard work, and steady presence, she helped keep things running smoothly while always making time for the people around her. Residents, families, and team members alike have felt the impact of her care and commitment.

One thing everyone will always remember about Tina is the tropical energy she brought with her wherever she went. From her beach-themed office and decorated door to the sunny spirit she carried every day, she created a little island of positivity right here at Bruceville Point. Her vibrant personality and fun sense of style made the workplace brighter and brought smiles to so many faces.

As Tina begins her next chapter outside of Bruceville Point, we want to thank her for the many years she has given to this community. Her contributions, her warmth, and her unmistakable tropical flair have left a lasting mark on all of us. She will truly be missed, and we wish her nothing but sunshine and success in the journey ahead!! 🌺
