SUMMER SPEECH GROUPS ARE HAPPENING THIS YEAR!

Interested in your child building their speech and language skills with 2-3 other similar-aged peers in a sensory friendly environment? Come see me this summer!

I do not have definitive times yet, as we are just starting to work on putting the summer schedule for therapy together. This can be in place of regular therapy for current clients or can be an additional time for them to participate in a group that will help continue to target their speech and language development. This can also be for kids who are receiving speech therapy through the schools and will not be receiving speech therapy during the summer.

This is pending availabilities. Groups would be 45 minutes and would cost $35 per child.

Times will be pending availabilities. This is simply an interest form! Speech groups will be $35/child for a 45-minute targeted speech therapy group with similar-aged children working on their speech and language. A new addition to the office is a vibration plate! Another sensory tool for kids who might need more input to help regulate their bodies. I’m not an OT but I’m all for having sensory supports around the office! So far, the kids are loving it.

*sometimes vibration is not appropriate for kids with specific diagnoses and this is addressed with families before the vibration plate is used*

It actually IS all fun and games here 🥳
Sometimes, speech therapy focuses on the social aspects of communication. Working on cooperative games targets practical and applicable ways to connect with others for a common goal. These types of activities help build kids’ communication toolboxes.

Join us as Messy Speech and Language Therapy and Saint Joe Men’s Basketball partner to provide a sensory friendly basketball game experience. Attendees who want to take advantage of the sensory friendly space are able to watch the game from the cafeteria, which overlooks Alumni Gym. There will be sensory supports as well as volunteers from Saint Joe’s Best Buddies club, IUSB, Saint Mary’s, and various local organizations.

Everyone’s welcome in our Pack and we can’t wait for you to join us! ♾️
