Every week during the spring semester, graduate students from Indiana University South Bend meet with our moms and children to provide speech-language pathology services. During these sessions, moms actively play alongside their children while practicing the techniques modeled by the students. This hands-on approach helps families reinforce these strategies at home while supporting the development of neural pathways for communication.

This matters to RETA because early communication skills shape a child’s development for years to come. By equipping mothers with practical tools and support, we help strengthen families and give children a stronger start.

Recently, St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Elkhart hosted a Family Night and had a baby shower in support of RETA.

The generosity was incredible, they even filled the back of our CEO’s van with various items for the families we serve. Thank you for thinking of RETA and for making such a meaningful impact!

SOLD OUT.

We are incredibly grateful to share that the Celebrating Life Benefit Dinner on March 20 is officially at capacity.

This response is something we prayed for. We asked God to move hearts and fill the room so that more women and families could receive care, support, and hope. We are deeply grateful to Him and to all of you who listened to that call.

If you weren’t able to get a ticket, you can still be part of the impact.

Between now and March 20, you can help us reach our fundraising goal by making a gift through the link in the comments below. Anyone who donates through this page will receive a special RETA prayer card.

Not being in the room doesn’t mean you can’t still help change lives.

We were so blessed to welcome a women’s ministry group from Grace Community Church to RETA for a tour of our facility.

Along with learning more about our mission, they generously donated 15 freezer casseroles and items for our family store. Their kindness and support mean so much to the mothers and families we serve.

We are incredibly grateful for our community, who comes alongside us in such meaningful ways. Thank you for blessing RETA!

We have some current needs and would love your help!

We are looking for items for our childcare room, supplies for our mentees, and everyday essentials items.

These are the items currently needed for our childcare room: a timer, bookshelves, a chair, plastic mats, toys, a sensory table, and Play-Doh.

These are the items currently needed for our mentees: Jenga, Monopoly, Uno, playing cards, paint and brushes, canvas, coloring books, colored pencils, word search books, cookie decorating kits, jewelry-making kits, and gift cards.

Every item makes a direct and meaningful impact on the mothers and families who walk through our doors each day. The link to our Amazon Wishlist can be found in the comments below.

We are officially one month away from our Celebrating Life Benefit Dinner, and we have an exciting update.

We are only 7 tables away from reaching our goal.
Would you consider being one of those seven?

For 41 years, RETA has served mothers, babies, and families in our community. This special evening on March 20 will celebrate the lives changed and the hope that continues to grow each day. Hosting a table is a simple but powerful way to make an impact and invite others to be part of the mission.

We feel so blessed to witness moments like this.

On Friday night, a group of volunteers gave their time and strength to help Candace, a single mom of four, move her family into a new apartment after being told she had just one week to relocate. With no extra hands to help and no way to move the larger furniture on her own, the task felt impossible.

Jason Cripe, Jacob Moyer, Landon Weldy, and Bryan Greene stepped in and became the village she didn’t have. They spent the evening taking apart beds, hauling furniture, and setting everything back up so this family could walk into their new home with peace and stability. Because of them, Candace’s children now each have their own rooms and beds to sleep in for the first time.

Candace shared, “I just want to thank you so, so much for bringing out the village, and let the gentlemen know how much I appreciate them.”
