Let's Stock the Pantry!

As the government shutdown continues, some of our neighbors may begin to feel a heavier strain, such as families with young children and households relying on a limited income.

The loss of federal funding also places additional stress on Kansas food banks, pantries and meal programs, which are already strained to meet the needs of those who utilize them.

We know times are tough for many households right now, and even when benefits are restored, food costs and other daily expenses continue to make things challenging.

**Reminder that EHS is sponsoring their "Trick or Treat for cans" over the next few weeks, so if you are able, please consider donating to that cause or to another participating community site to help support our local food bank, Hands For Hope.

Every can of formula, box of food or donated dollar can make a difference.

Together we can help ensure that no one goes without the essentials they need.


Additional info: Hands For Hope can accept donations on Monday, Nov 3rd from 4:30-5:30.
Nov 10th will be distribution from 4:00-5:30. Donations might be hard to take at the same time, but they can be accepted again the following Monday, Nov 17th 4:30-5:30.
They will be closed Nov 24th.

MCHS had a great time celebrating Halloween with our annual costume contest. The turn out was phenomenal and conversation even better. First place was Clinic as minions. Second place Lab/Xray/Respiratory as Healthcare Avengers. Third place Business Office/Medical Records as Crayons. 4th Place Nursing as Blow up costumes. 5th place Pharmacy as Medications. Most Creative was Purchasing as Ron the Maintenance guy. Individual costume was Katy Kelly as Lorax. Thanks to all that helped set up, teardown and participated.
