Dear Families,

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to share an important update about the Landmark of Kentucky nursing homes. As of today, January 1, 2025, ownership has officially transitioned to a new company. Any questions regarding this change can be directed to the onsite staff.

We understand that changes like this can raise questions and concerns, especially when it comes to the care of your loved ones. Please be assured that while the ownership may change, our commitment to providing high-quality care remains steadfast. The leadership within the nursing home has been retained so this means that the familiar faces you and your loved ones have come to know and trust will continue to be there, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of care.

Our team has worked closely with staff to maintain the standard of care and enhance the quality of life for all of the residents throughout the transition.

We sincerely appreciate your support and trust over the years. Your confidence in us has been invaluable.

A very big thank you to our previous Mayor, Mike Taylor for donating a 50 inch TV for our Activity Room. Mike is a great asset to the community and always helping in anyway he can. He generously volunteers his time to bringing the residents snacks and even making homemade desserts and hand delivering them! Some of their favorites was fish fry’s and deep fried Oreos.

On Thursday, November 21, the Ky. Association of Health Care Facilities/Ky. Center for Assisted Living recognized the top long-term care facilities in Kentucky at their quality awards banquet with the 2024 Best of Kentucky award Landmark of Elkhorn City’s Administrator, Jayneen Rosser and Director of Nursing, Aimee Mullins were honored to be a part of this elite group of leaders in the industry.

“We are honored to recognize these deserving providers at the top of their class,” said Association President Adam Mather. “These providers have faced challenges with innovation and positivity and have gone above and beyond to ensure the best quality of life for their residents.”

The Best of Kentucky – Nursing and Rehabilitation honorees must possess a CMS star rating of four or higher to apply.

Long-term care and assisted living providers from across the state attended the Annual Meeting & Expo to celebrate 70 years of the Association. Participants furthered their knowledge of senior care with a variety of educational options including strategies to cope with stress on the job, hiring and retaining quality staff and regulatory issues. More than 100 vendors exhibited during the expo showcasing the latest innovations to provide quality care.
