Your body converts the sun’s ☀️ rays into Vitamin D which is necessary for growth and development. It is vital for your muscles and key in immunity and disease prevention. The daily RDA only recommends 600-800 Units but this is a minimal recommendation. This time of year especially when living in a temperate climate with less exposure to sunlight I recommend at least 2000 IU of Vitamin D daily. Also good sources of Vitamin D are fatty fish, eggs, cod liver oil, dandelion greens, shiitake and chanterelle mushrooms, sweet potatoes, oysters and oatmeal.
