2 days of shoveling this week already + we are expecting 10-15" of snow by tomorrow night.
First trip out for shoveling heavy snow fall + chicken chores...
Looks like a white out across the field. 32° 22mph winds. Dressed in wool layers so I was never cold. Spent 50 minutes working. 💪 burned 951 calories (much more than I ate for breakfast!)
Thankful for a sweaty workout + fresh air.
Cleared snow off the roof top of the chicken coop (which then forced snow through the small ventilation slits + down inside the coop + run. Cleaned all the snow out for them, replaced their frozen water, filled them up with food + snacks + healthy, calming herbs. They were singing happily! Told them, if I ever come back a chicken, I want to be them! Makes me feel good to care for them so well that we continue to get 1-2 eggs daily this week, even through the blizard!
