If surgery were really the solution to all your pain, I'd recommend it to more people ⬇️⬇️⬇️

The problem?

Oftentimes, the research supports the opposite 🙃

In fact, most often, elective surgeries for orthopedic injuries like meniscus tears, rotator cuff tears, or labral tears often have little to no evidence suggesting their surgical procedure have any better outcomes than rehab! 🧐🧐🧐

What's that mean for you? Well...

If you're contemplating surgery this may be your sign ⬇️

Knee pain has no short term quick fixes that last forever. Please stop buying into this 🤐🤐🤐

Short-term relief is one thing.

Long-term knee health is another.

When patients with meniscus tears were followed for years, rehab performed just as well as surgery for:

• Pain
• Function
• Daily activity
• Knee health over time

No increased damage. ⬇️
No worse outcomes. ⬇️
No “you should’ve done surgery sooner.”⬇️

The takeaway is simple:
You don’t protect your knee by removing tissue. You protect it by progressively loading it and restoring capacity.✅

That’s why rehab should come first — most of the time.

If you’ve been told surgery is your only option, there may be another path.

Hit the follow button and find out whether or not your knee pain can be solved without surgery 💪

This is one of the most eye-opening findings in knee research. 🧐

Patients with meniscus tears were split into two groups:
• One had real surgery
• One had sham surgery — scopes inserted, but nothing removed

The outcome? 🪨

➡️ No difference in pain relief or function.

That tells us something important:

Pain doesn’t always come from damaged tissue. 👍

It often comes from how the knee is loaded, controlled, and trusted again. 💪

If cutting tissue doesn’t outperform doing nothing, then rehab deserves to be the starting point — not the backup plan.

Structure doesn’t equal symptoms.🤐

Most people assume a meniscus tear automatically means surgery. ⬇️

But when researchers compared meniscus surgery to structured rehab, they found something surprising:

➡️ Pain relief and function were the same at 6 and 12 months.

In other words, removing tissue didn’t outperform rebuilding strength and movement. 💪

For many knees, the real limiter isn’t the tear itself —
it’s lost load tolerance, coordination, and confidence.

Surgery isn’t always wrong. 🧐

But it’s rarely the first thing that needs to happen.

Save this if knee pain has you worried about surgery.👍

Not everyone needs surgery, but not everyone can escape without it.

There is nuance behind this statement where there are cases where surgery is 100% warranted. 🧐

In the case of severe pain, physical limitations that are blocking ranges of motion due to a physical block like a nasty bucket handle tear in the meniscus...

Surgery may be warranted 🤔

But in the case of some general low back pain, that has no radicular pain or symptoms, meaning the nerves aren't necessarily involved in the symptoms here, finding a random disc bulge to operate on probably shouldn't be our go-to move 👋

So before you get cut open always grab a second opinion and exhaust all your options. Once you cut you can't go back BUT you can give it one last try.

Thinking about shoulder labral surgery? Read this first. 👇

SLAP tears are common in overhead athletes—especially baseball players.

But surgery is not always the best first step.

📚 Research shows that structured rehab outperformed surgery for many baseball players, with ~78% returning to play after completing a full rehab program—often in under 6 months.

Why rehab works:
• Restores shoulder strength & control
• Improves scapular mechanics
• Reduces pain without surgical risk
• Preserves long-term shoulder health

Surgery should be the backup plan, not the default.

👉 If your shoulder pain is stopping you from lifting, throwing, or training—rehab should be step one.

Thinking of having a total knee replacement?
Know this first! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Before you rush into surgery, understand this:

👉 Many people with knee pain improve without surgery

👉 Strength-based rehab can reduce pain and improve function

👉 Surgery is not always the first or best step

The goal isn’t just pain relief — it’s long-term outcomes.

If you’re unsure what your knee actually needs, get clarity before committing to an irreversible decision.

Did your doctor tell you to just rest your low back pain away? Here's why that's wrong ⬇️

Most people are told to rest their back pain away...

When in reality you need to stop avoiding motions, but moving back into them! ✅

This is because our muscles, our tissues, as a whole only will adapt if you place them under stress! 💪😛

In short you need to teach it how to work again! 👋

If this sounds like you hit the follow button to find out what a real plan sounds like to getting you out of back pain!

If you've been dealing with nagging shoulder pain... This is for you! ⬇️

The rollercoaster of good days and bad days where you rest your pain away, take ibuprofen, or get injections isn't normal. 🪨

You need answers to WHY it keeps coming back and HOW you can manage it without endless rounds of doctors visits ✅

So if you've been trying to just rest, stretch, or inject your way out of pain here's the truth bomb you need:

Shoulders don’t need endless stretching.

They need strength, control, and exposure to load.

That’s how overhead pain actually resolves.

So if that sounds like you send us the DM SHOULDER if lifting or daily tasks hurt and you want help! ✅

If you've had knee pain for longer than three months... 🤐

And you're considering trying some options like injections, or just treating it with rest, ice, heat, or pain meds... 🪨

You may be missing a piece of the puzzle here ⬇️

Knees don’t fail in isolation.

They fail when the body around them can’t manage force.✅

At BodyKinetix, knee rehab means rebuilding strength, control, and tolerance — not just chasing pain relief.

If this sounds like, hit that follow button. 🔥

If your knee hurts, cortisone injections can reduce inflammation and pain — and for some people, that short-term relief matters. ⬇️⬇️

But here’s the part most people aren’t told:
Cortisone does not...
• Fix strength deficits
• Improve joint capacity
• Restore tolerance to lifting, running, or sport
• Address why the knee got irritated in the first place

Pain relief without rehab often just buys time — it doesn’t change the trajectory.🥶

At BodyKinetix, rehab means:
• Progressive knee loading
• Quads, hamstrings, hips, and trunk strength
• Restoring confidence under real-world stress
• Building tissue capacity so the knee can handle life again

Injections may quiet symptoms.🤬

Rehab changes outcomes. 💪

If your knee pain keeps coming back, the question isn’t
“Do I need another injection?”
It’s
“Is my knee actually strong enough for what I ask it to do?”
