Feliz Cinco de Mayo!!!!🌶️🎉
Today we celebrated with tacos, Spanish rice, and strawberry margaritas!!! We decorated with lots of colors, sombreros and a piñata!
But not just any piñata, our RD dressed up and residents got to hit her with a pool noodle and were rewarded with candy!!! Our favorite quote of today “how hard do we get to hit you!”

Nothing makes us happier here then having groups come in and spend time with our residents!
Just having this group come in brought so many smiles and laughter to the house!
We enjoyed the time spent this afternoon and cannot wait to have them come back to see us! Thank you again to one of our residents family for putting this together! It was a real treat!
Snacks, conversations and music is always a blessing to us!

From safety to outdoors!! Nothing better then spending quality time in our safe areas during last nights tornado warnings to outside today! The weather was beautiful today and we were not missing it!
So proud of staff again last night taking action during severe weather alerts and warnings!
And today we played games and sat out enjoying the warm sun on our skin! And with that we say welcome to living in the Midwest!

Thankful for our staff during the severe weather and tornado warning! They had the house locked down and residents in safety areas within minutes of the warnings!
This shows how important it is to continue to do monthly drills!!!
Way to go Elkhorn Shepherd team!
Extreme kudos to Lisa, Kim and Calyn for their dedication and care to our residents!!!!
