We want to wish everyone a HaPPy New Year. As we celebrate 25 years ministering to folks who need a hand-up, we could not have done it without your support, spiritually and financially. 2025 brought about some unexpected challenges, but with God's help and your support we are still seeing souls saved and lives changed. We are excited to see what God has planned for 2026.

I'll never forget this moment, when one of the men said to me, "This is my best Christmas ever." as the guys at 'Your Father's House Ministries" opened Christmas gifts that had been donated to the house. It wasn't so much about the gifts as it was about the givers. Just knowing that there are people who care for those struggling with addiction. Just knowing they were seen and not forgotten. This year "Your Father's House" celebrates 25 years of helping those who want to recover and their families. This ministry has had a profound impact on Surry, Stokes, Yadkin, Wilkes counties and beyond. Please lift us up in prayer as we prepare for the battles ahead in 2026. This is a 501-c3 ministry, we do NOT receive any government assistance and rely on free will love offerings from churches and caring individuals. Our goal is to give men a safe and enriching environment to not only recover from addiction but to learn a new way of life as a born-again child of God. Many of our alumni have gone on to be productive members of the community, loving fathers and husbands, some preachers, some business owners. One thing in common that everyone leaves with is the knowledge of loving Savior, Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:20-21
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, that he who loveth God love his brother also.

This morning, Nancy called this scripture to my attention.
Just because we profess with our mouth that we are Christians doesn’t make us Christians. The term Christian means to be Christ like in our actions, the way we live and the way we love.

We live in a day when a lot of people think you can identify as a woman when you are in fact a man, or a cat when in fact you are a child.

This ridiculous way of thinking applies to labeling oneself as a Christian and not loving your fellow man.

Jesus sits the example by loving us when we were yet sinners. And Jesus instructs us time and time again through God’s word that we are to do likewise.

We should ask ourselves, “Am I a liar?” “Do I truly love, like Jesus loved?” “Are my actions towards others Christ like?”
Or am I religious like the Priest and the Levite who left a wounded man dying in a ditch?
