Meet BAYADA client Louie. At just 18 months old, a brain infection led to his diagnosis of spastic quadriplegia, a form of cerebral palsy that impacts movement in all four limbs.

With the support of BAYADA’s physical, occupational, and speech therapy services, Louie continues to grow, develop new skills, and embrace life to the fullest.

His vibrant personality shines through in everything he loves—customizing his Crocs, expanding his doll collection, and caring for his garden. We’re grateful to his dedicated care team for helping him live safely and independently at home, and we celebrate the many ways people with disabilities lead rich, meaningful lives. ❤️

Earlier this month, we introduced you to BAYADA client Domingo. After a fall earlier this year, he spent nearly three months in rehabilitation. Thanks to the dedicated care from our Newton, MA, and North Boston teams, he was able to return home safely and continue his recovery.

In less than two months with BAYADA, Domingo has made remarkable progress—now able to sit upright on his own and enjoy a burger with a big smile. Moments like this are a powerful reminder of how home care supports both recovery and independence.

We are so proud of Domingo’s progress and grateful to his care team for helping him regain his confidence and quality of life. ❤️

Meet LaMondré, who was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare genetic condition that causes progressive muscle weakness, when he was a toddler. LaMondré has embraced his disability and has lived independently since the age of 23. He co-founded Billion Strong, an empowerment organization for people with disabilities. He is also a life coach and the host of a daily affirmation podcast.

In Lansdale, PA, the community came together to celebrate BAYADA client Patrick — a Vietnam Veteran who bravely served two tours and was awarded four Purple Hearts and a Silver Star.

With the support of his BAYADA volunteer, retired Army Colonel George Cressman, and other BAYADA team members, Patrick was honored with a heartfelt motorcade tribute alongside the Blue Comets, Warrior Watch, and the Hatfield Police Department.

Moments like this reflect the heart of BAYADA: recognizing the sacrifices of those we serve, honoring their stories, and standing with our communities to show gratitude to our nation’s veterans. ❤️

BAYADA client Esteban, his mom, and his dedicated nurse Brenda joined Representative Kanika Brown for a meaningful legislative roundtable in Winston-Salem, NC.

They shared how home care helps clients like Esteban remain safe and supported at home with their families—right where they belong. Rep. Brown listened with compassion, shared her own experiences, and recognized the vital role nurses like Brenda play in caring for medically vulnerable individuals.

🚨 NC Medicaid Funding at Risk 🚨

On Aug. 13, NC’s Department of Health and Human Services announced a $319M Medicaid budget shortfall that could lead to 3–10% funding cuts starting Oct. 1, 2025 — impacting all Medicaid services, including home care.

📉DHHS doesn’t want to cut funding, but without more money from lawmakers, they say they have no choice.

🏠 Why it matters: Cuts could make it harder for people to access the home care they need.

💪 How H4HC is responding: We’re meeting with partners, building a strong action plan, and will be ready when lawmakers return Aug. 26.
