Maddie Belan
EHS Girls Basketball

Maddie went off on Lincoln this past week dropping 38 points on the Cougars and securing the win for the Lady Tigers! She connected on 5 treys from downtown! This was her career high point total for a single game. It also put her at 600 career points, good enough for #20 on the all-time scoring leaders list! With the win it put the Lady Tigers at 2-1 on the season.
Congrats to Maddie and the entire Lady Tigers! Keep up the great work!

Two amazing cakes that we served at our office Christmas party this evening which were made by Becky Weese at Batter & Blooms Bakery!!! A delicious red velvet bundt cake with white chocolate drizzle and a chocolate layered Christmas wreath cake with Ghirardelli syrup and homemade buttercream icing!! WOW!!! EHS GIRLS SOCCER TEAM
SECTIONAL CHAMPIONS

Congrats to the coaches and players of the Elkins High girls soccer team for capturing the sectional crown last week! They defeated a feisty and tenacious Herbert Hoover team that wouldn’t give up! But the Tigers had more fight in them and showed tremendous heart and toughness as they prevailed 3-2! Now it’s onto the Regional Championship game this Thursday evening at home. Winner is headed to the state championships! Game time slated for 5pm against the Lady Cougars of Lincoln High. This is a black out game!! No better evening than on Halloween night! So show up, be loud and let’s go Tigers!!!

Congratulations to Aiden and Erin for being named Athletes of the week.

Aiden has been a dominating force for the Tigers upfront. His energy, determination and willingness to leave it all out there has been a big reason the Tigers are having great success.

Erin has been a thorn in the side of the Lady Tigers opponents. She has been key to helping secure victories this season and does a great job controlling the defense from the box.
