All Day Sports Camp is excited to announce that Sydney West will be returning to lead the Soccer Portion of this year's Elkins, West Virginia Camp, sponsored by The Refinery Church - WV!

Sydney is an Elkins, West Virginia native who earned fifteen varsity letters during her prep school years at Elkins High School. West competed in soccer, cross country, basketball, and track. She also had the distinct privilege of participating in 12 state meets and tournaments. In 2004, Sydney & her Lady Tiger teammates finished as state soccer runner-up, and then went on to capture the Class AAA State Championship the following year (2005). Her Prep Soccer awards include: First team All-NCAC Soccer (4 years), First team All-State (3 years), and 2006 Soccer Coaches Association State Player of the Year.

At the conclusion of her prep school career, Sydney received an athletic scholarship to play soccer at West Virginia University, where she lettered for two years. In 2007, as a freshman, she successfully converted a penalty kick to lift the Mountaineers to the Big East Championship game against Notre Dame. In the 2008 campaign, she scored her first collegiate goal against Syracuse! As the only West Virginia native on the squad her senior year, she served as tri-captain and led WVU to its second Big East Championship, receiving the WVU Women’s Soccer Mountaineer Award.

Presently, Sydney is a certified holistic nutritionist and co-owner of Seven Wellness & Valley Fitness Club, practicing alongside her husband, Dr. Kyle West. Sydney and Kyle are also invested in the development of downtown Elkins & making their community a better place for all to live! We are excited to have Coach Sydney West on our staff again this year & look forward to Soccer Day on July 9th at the Phil Gainer Community Center in Elkins, West Virginia!
