Please join us in welcoming our students, Emily and Nathan, who have joined the Greenbrier Audiology team for their final year in the Doctorate of Audiology program at WVU!
Emily was born and raised in Summersville, West Virginia. She is currently in her third year at West Virginia University, pursuing her Doctorate in Audiology where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in General Business. When she is not studying or in clinic, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She also loves anything outdoors from fishing, hiking, and more. Fun fact: Her birthday is January 2nd, 2001, so she was the first new year’s baby born in Summersville Hospital in 2001!
Nathan is from Hinton, West Virginia, and as a lifelong Mountaineer fan, he chose to pursue both his undergraduate degree in communication sciences and disorders as well as his Doctorate of Audiology at West Virginia University. His hobbies include anything outdoors, such as fishing, kayaking, and golfing. A fun fact: he was inducted into his high school’s golf hall of fame and also has an identical twin brother who works as a nurse in Ruby Memorial Hospital.
We are proud to have two bright and motivated students, as better hearing is critical to the health and quality of life of West Virginians- especially in our rural communities.
Training the next generation of audiologists right here at home is more important than ever. We wish them all the best as they help carry this mission forward!
