Salem Pharmacy does a lot more than just count pills and put them into a bottle for you. We check blood pressure, blood sugar, pulse, heart rate, do deliveries and give vaccines.

Speaking of vaccines: it is time to start getting flu shots. Give us a call at (256)-216-1820 or just come visit us inside The Jackson Family Health Center.

The same is true for Creekside - They can be reached at Championship Plaza or by phone at (256)-232-8274.

We look forward to keeping everyone healthy as the fall weather has shown up and Winter is on its way. Have a great day!

Express Scripts has responded to our inquiries about letters some of our patients have received. Here is their response. It was indeed a "mistake". Everyone who received the letter can remain at their preferred pharamcy.

Salem Pharmacy wants to wish everyone in Limestone County a fantastic 1st day back in the classroom!

We have always loved supporting our alma mater, and Mr. WEST LIMESTONE HIGH SCHOOL (1984) is no different.

He is working at Salem today, so get the medications your family needs before the school year gets hectic. Make sure you heckle the old boy if you get the chance.

**Word off Short Cut Road is that he is soft as Charmin and wasn’t a good ballplayer**

Patients should be able to walk into Salem Pharmacy and talk to Dakota, Zeke, Mark, Emily, of Phil and they should be able to provide care without necessarily requiring a visit to the “Doctor”.

We take care of our community and are the best at what we do. The State of Alabama has got to allow us to take care of our patients better. Let us write prescriptions and provide certain care that is unnecessary for a Doctors Visit.

Please share or talk to Members of the Alabama House of Representatives and Alabama State Senate and tell them how important something like this is for patients. It is extremely important in Rural areas like Minor Hill, Good Springs, Lester, and Salem.

Pharmacist in Alabama do not have provider status. Why does Alabama have to be the last or next to last in everything?

-Last in Academics
-Last in Health Care

The old saying, if it weren’t for Mississippi, Alabama would be the worst at everything. If the state of Alabama wants better health outcomes and better treatment for all Alabamians, then Pharmacist deserves provider status.

Pharmacist have more training than Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Pharmacist have the same length of training as MD’s and DO’s. Why will the State of Alabama not let us take care of patients the same way?

Provider Status = Healthier Alabama

The King and Queen!

The King and Queen!

Mark Jackson and Mindy Waldrop-Jackson deserve to have some time together enjoying each other’s company not worrying about the pharmacies. Over the last 25 years they have worked day-in and day-out. I can handle the responsibility. I hope they enjoy themselves at the 151st Kentucky Derby. It has always been my mother’s dream to go to the derby. She is wearing a dress Hilda Waldrop wore to the Kentucky Derby years ago. Making sure we give people the opportunity to have fun is our job. I am grateful to have such great parents and I am glad they trusted me not to destroy the pharmacies while they went and enjoyed themselves.

They earned it. Have fun Mom and Dad!

For all the communities and people who use Salem Pharmacy, we are on the brink of the Alabama Senate Bill saving communities and making your pharmacy choices easier. This will allow our pharmacy in Salem to continue serving the people of our community in a way that would make Elmer Jackson proud. This bill will not only save the pharmacy, but will allow a growing community to have a reliable ally and supporter in the future!

Let’s get this done!

SB252 just passed the full Alabama Senate with 32 Yeahs, no Nays, and one abstention. Thank you to all the Senators who worked so tirelessly on this! Now on to the House.

This may be more important for Salem Pharmacy than any pharmacy operated by the Jackson Family. If this law passes it may allow for us to provide more opportunities to help the communities we serve. Please let everyone know that we need this Senate Bill passed!
