If your lower back always seems to be doing the work, your core may not be helping enough.

When the deeper core becomes underused, the body compensates. Some muscles grip. Others weaken. The result can be recurring tension, fatigue, and discomfort in the lower back.

This workshop explores how true core strength is built through coordination—not crunches. You’ll learn how mobility, breath, and intelligent strengthening work together to support the spine in real movement.
Perfect for anyone who wants to feel stronger, steadier, and more supported from the inside out.

If standing, lifting, carrying groceries, gardening, or everyday movement leaves your lower back feeling tired and achy, this workshop is for you.

Many people think “core strength” means stronger abs—but real back support comes from the deeper stabilizing muscles: the transverse abdominis, obliques, pelvic floor, and spinal support muscles. When these systems work together, the spine moves with more ease and less strain.

In this workshop, Lucy Lomax will guide you through practical yoga-based techniques to build functional strength, improve posture, and create support that carries into daily life.

You’ll leave with tools to move more confidently and protect your lower back long after class ends.

Yay Yoga!!!

“I did [a lot] of yoga when I was on board the ISS, and it’s actually not that hard to do,” she said. “In some ways, way more fun to do ... There are some poses that are tough. The standing poses I don’t necessarily get as much out of. But a lot of the stretching poses are great. So yes, yoga’s fantastic.” - Astronaut Christina Koch, the first woman to travel around the Moon.

Congratulations to all of the Artemis II crew. Welcome home, Integrity!

If you’re dealing with ongoing neck or shoulder tension, it’s often not just physical—it’s also tied to habitual tension patterns and the nervous system.

Clenching the jaw. Holding the shoulders up. Bracing without realizing it.

In this workshop, we’ll take a deeper yoga therapeutics approach to:
• Gently release chronic muscular tension
• Improve alignment to reduce strain on the spine
• Introduce breathing and relaxation techniques to calm the system
• Address jaw, neck, and shoulder tension as a connected pattern

You’ll walk away with tools that help not just during practice—but in the moments your body needs them most.

Most neck and shoulder discomfort doesn’t come from one big moment—it comes from repeated daily habits.

Looking down. Reaching forward. Carrying weight. Sitting for long periods.
In this workshop, we’ll break down the “why” behind those patterns and how they affect your body over time.

Using simple, accessible yoga practices, you’ll learn how to:
• Reduce forward head positioning
• Improve range of motion in the neck and upper back
• Build strength where your body needs support
• Make small adjustments to everyday movements that actually stick

The goal isn’t perfection—it’s awareness and change you can sustain.

You’ll also receive:
• A take-home handout
• Workshop recording

If you’ve been dealing with neck or shoulder tension—and keep thinking “I should probably do something about this…”—this is your reminder.

This workshop isn’t just about stretching or temporary relief. It’s about understanding why the tension keeps showing up and what your body actually needs to change it.

• reduce strain on the neck and upper back
• improve posture without forcing it
• build support through strength and alignment
• release tension that keeps coming back

You’ll leave with tools you can actually use—whether you’re at your desk, driving, or moving through your day.
