Looking for an energetic and compassionate person to join our medical team as a Medical Assistant. The role of this position is:
Assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interview patients, measure vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height) and record information on patients' charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assisting with in office procedures using sterilization technique under physician supervision. Inform patients of costs for care being provided and guides them to appropriate resources for further information. Answer telephones, screen callers, relay messages and greet visitors.
Requires a high school diploma and medical assistant certificate. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Work under immediate supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
