Wow!!! Our facility welcomed in 60 new faces this weekend, and enrolled several families into our Little Scholars family! Spencer and I are beyond blessed with the amount of support we received, and for the families who are entrusting our facility to provide their children with the care and educational experiences they deserve! We are humbled!

We’ve already received messages asking about another open house! We have not yet had time to creat a flyer, but we will be at the center again next Sunday, March 22 from 12-6! As soon as we can, we will get something posted! Please help up share the word! 💙💛

Hello everyone! It’s a BEAUTIFUL day to start off the weekend! While you are out and about today, come by and see us at our Open House Day #2! Refreshments have been restocked and we are eager to see new faces! Help us beat our attendance yesterday by stopping in, whether as a prospective family, employee, or community member! We did it guys! After a 3 hour initial inspection, the facility walked away with ZERO ONSITE VIOLATIONS, a perfect inspection! 💙💛

Our family would like to take a minute to thank all of the individuals who have played a role in making the center perfection! To Mark Shiflet, Dan Seal, Logan Kreider, and the countless number of Massanutten employees, thank you for bringing our vision to life! The amount of time, hardwork, and dedication that you all invested into the construction and renovation to our center will be something we will forever be grateful for! To Greg Knight, thank you for all of your hardwork in laying the floors and giving our kiddos a safe and beautiful area to play and explore! To Billy Dean, thank you so much for being Spencer’s sidekick and helping him complete all the work that went into the building! Even after 45 gallons of paint, you always showed up ready to work and never once complained! To PJ Cubbage, Jeremy Cubbage, and Jennifer Roach, thank you all so much for lending a helping hand when asked, at all hours of the day! To Pamela Houck, thank you for always being my go to when I had any questions, and for your guidance and confidence in me to pursue my dream! I would have never started this if it weren’t for you! For anyone who has prayed for this journey over the past 2 years, thank you!

Now that our initial inspection is done, it is just a matter of paperwork and then application for subsidy! We are projecting an opening for the end of April! Now that we know this is a ‘for sure thing’, we are giving a final call for enrollment for the remaining spots available! If you need childcare, from 6 weeks old-12 years of age, before and after school care with transportation provided, all meals and snacks included in tuition, and shortened Saturday hours, please don’t wait enroll! Spots are limited!

Again, thank you so much for your prayers, patience, and support! We cannot wait to finally be your child’s ‘home away from home’! 💙💛

We would like to give a HUGE shoutout to Greg Knight of 5K Customs, LLC for their beautiful work on our floors! Greg was a pleasure to work with, always being on time and explaining his process! These floors have given life to the center! We appreciate you!

Next steps are inspections by the Fire Marshall and Building Official, then application for licensure! We’re almost there!!

We’d like to wish a Happy New Year to all! While everyone is making all of their personal resolutions, we have only one…to open our doors and provide the children of the Shenandoah Valley with the highest quality of affordable childcare and educational opportunities!!! 2025 has GREAT things in store for our facility, as well as the families we will serve! 💙💛💙💛

Just a quick check-in/update!!! We have made a lot of progress within the past month! All of the walls and trim have been completed, with safety features to prevent all those unnecessary bumps and scrapes from pointed edges, kitchen cabinets have been installed, and all plumbing has been added to all classrooms to ensure the highest quality of sanitation is being followed! Additionally, after 40 GALLONS of paint, we have a freshly painted and beautiful center!!! Next steps are the installation of brand new floors, the application process, and finally the creation of classrooms!!!

We’d like to thank all of the individuals who have put so much work into our building this far! Your hard work and attention to details have not went unnoticed! We will soon begin hiring our team, so be on the lookout!!!
