Y’all! It’s been so busy, but here’s a little catch up. Inventory got mostly resupplied, other things have to be harvested responsibly.

Black Cohosh was harvested, only taking 5% of the entire population in deep respect and reciprocity. My offering was well received in that most sacred of Ho/allows, and each plant was asked if it was willing to serve in this way. We have a half gallon now waiting to be used.

Carolina Reaper Peppers are continually being harvested when they are ready to fall off the plant. Drying takes days at a high heat for these peppers, I offer that knowledge so you know the care and energy put into these medicines and understand where the cost comes from.

And something else I have been trying to get off the ground sustainably for years!!! It’s coming together because I’ve finally found a good pattern source, and continue to find good suppliers who I deal with directly or only once removed due to distance. More will be revealed as progress is made, but I am so pumped! Literally I wake up every day thinking about this side of my life and how to develop it!

More consistent postings are my goal, but heavens it’s a chore! 😉

Got my yearly inventory done, new herbs ordered, new harvests sourced, new medicines on the way! I love getting elbow deep in this work, I’m always inspired to keep working at it even when it’s difficult to keep the faith that it’ll be impactful.

I know this medicine works, and that’s enough for me to stay motivated. I started this journey 13 years ago in Asheville in a really abusive relationship after a lifetime of hiding early abuse from outside the family. For my entire formative years from age 5-25 I hid the actions of a sexual abuser while he was venerated in our local community. It shaped who I was and how I had relationships, I knew I needed help when I started to grasp being an adult, but I could neither afford it nor would I ever take rx antidepressants (convo on that if you like!), I knew I would become one of the really sad statistics. I realized one day that I lived in a literal rainforest and there MUST be a solution out there for me. I ordered the Peterson’s field guide to medicinal plants for my region and fell deeply in love. My degree in Biology aided me deeply, and my Fine Arts degree helped me craft creative formulas from the start. Now after more than a decade of dedicated practice and learning, I am confident in my work, nobody can convince me that plant medicine is anything less than miraculous, and I know it is the path to “dying young at a very old age”.

Thank you so much to and for including us in this year’s Packet Pickup! We had a wonderful time getting to know the Charlotte running scene and made some great new friends! The best of luck to everyone running this year’s race! Come get dirty with us sometime on the trails with and see how enriching trail running can be. Just ask and .chains_ if it’s worth adding to your run options! 😆

It was really fun and energizing to open with for their morning warm up and run 🎉. It really set a great tone for the day!

It’s time to make more salve! This stuff is Miraculous, I promise! The All Purpose seals up even the biggest (please seek medical attention when needed) cuts and wounds, and helps heal ALL kinds of injuries. You should think of it as an herbal Neosporin.

The Xtra Sore Muscle Salve has been a boon to my body, especially with my spinal injury flaring up again. Between that and the Injury Formula, I’m able to get to my entire punch list AND get a workout in! (And I married a personal trainer! 😰) Living on a farm, there’s a lot to do every day.

Some chicken butts for your morning delight ☺️. Come run around our meadow this Saturday with one of these cluckers under your arm! Last day to register online today until 8:00 pm, but come day of and we will get you in no problem!! (DM me for deets)

The tree across the creek used to hold the “big swing” that carried us through our childhood. Tricks 😉 like “the swan”, “the fish”, or touching the tree across the bank were how we filled our hot summer days without any a/c in the house.

Taking the tree out will take a lot of resources, and that’s the kind of thing you’re supporting. Long term habitat preservation, clear waterways so large water events can occur with fewer issues, and safety in our creek so our community (that also means YOU) can play just like we did in the 80’s.

Just two lifelong friends making a long job a little shorter and much more fun! Meet all of the farm friends this weekend at the Hollis Hills Farm Revival Race, assisted by . I promise it’s not a break your back race! 😆 Come run around our jewel of a farm, down one of the only dirt roads left in the county, and back again where no race has been before!!

We will have food Friday night for donations, and Saturday $5 hot dog and hamburger plates made right here in our picnic space by the whole Hollis Family!

Also, I have a newly improved sore muscle salve! Come try it out 🔥
