One of the things that makes small communities special is the way people come together when neighbors are hurting. A local Upper County family lost their home in a devastating fire this week.

Thankfully, they made it out safely with their dogs, but they lost nearly everything they owned in the blaze, including their beloved cat, Sissy. In a matter of moments, a lifetime of memories, belongings, photos, and the comfort of home were gone.

Right now, they are facing the unimaginable task of starting over from nothing while trying to secure temporary housing and basic necessities. If you are able, please consider supporting their GoFundMe, sharing the fundraiser, or helping in any way you can. Every little bit truly does help.

Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. ❤️

When a family chooses cremation, one of the most important questions is where that cremation actually takes place. We are home to Inland Crematory, the only licensed crematory physically located in Kittitas County. That means your loved one never has to be transported out of the county for this part of their care.

Many people are surprised to learn that other providers must transfer individuals one or more counties away to complete the cremation process. For some families, that matters deeply. Keeping your loved one here means:

• No additional out of county transport
• Direct oversight by our licensed staff
• Care provided locally, by people you know
• Peace of mind knowing they remain in the community they called home

If you have questions about how cremation works or what to ask when comparing providers, we are always available to have that conversation.

Locally owned. Locally operated. Here when you need us.
