Ellenville Regional Hospital’s Community Wellness Program delivers this mission by using a comprehensive four pillar approach to improve overall health. The four pillars are based upon services that increase exercise, improve nutrition, reduce health care risks, and provide support for Social Determinates of Health. With our current grant programs, we are offering services in all of the four pillars at no cost to the community. One of the easiest ways to stay on track during the holidays and stretch your grocery budget is to focus on fiber-rich, in-season produce. December is a great time for hearty veggies like carrots, which are affordable, versatile, and packed with nutrients.

A delicious reminder that healthy holiday choices don’t need to be complicated (or expensive!).

Ellenville Regional Hospital is proud to be forming a team for the 2026 American Heart Association Heart Walk, and we invite our ERH family, friends, and community to join us.

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, but together we can make a meaningful difference. By walking and fundraising, we support life saving research, education, and prevention efforts that promote heart health at every stage of life, from healthy habits and screenings to advanced cardiac care.

Whether you walk with us or support our efforts through a donation, your participation helps strengthen hearts and save lives.

The Safe Spot Hotline is a free, 24/7 national service that connects people who use drugs with trained operators who can call for help if needed. The number one risk factor for fatal overdose is using alone, and spotting services like this provide support when no one else is there, helping to save lives.

Ellenville Regional Hospital is here to support the community by sharing information and connecting individuals with trusted resources.

Our Story

What We Do The mission of the Ellenville Regional Rural Health Network (ERRHN) is to promote the improved health and health equity of our rural community through increasing access to services, and enhancing the local health and human service workforce.

The Rural Health Network Wellness Program is available at no cost to individuals and families with increased risk of cardiovascular and other chronic diseases. The program offers supportive resources such as a Community Health Worker, Nutritionist, Cardiac Wellness Rehab, Calcium Scoring Cat Scan, and Carotid Ultrasounds, among a number of other physical, nutritional, and educational classes.

Project RESCUE assists individuals in need to navigate their treatment and recovery journey. We can provide 24/7 Medication Assisted Recovery (Buprenorphine) in the Emergency Department, with a warm hand off to a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate and transition into treatment. We can also help with questions about accessing treatment, help finding the right treatment center, finding a way to sign up for insurance, etc.

We implement these programs in our Community with Grant funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration, Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan, NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), and the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
