Attending Traumatic Scar Tissue Management this month with Cathy Ryan at Healwell was an absolute delight. I am so excited to be able to integrate my Manual Lymphatic Drainage, myofascial, and oncology training to serve individuals with, not only, long term dysfunctional scar tissue, but also improve post-surgical wound healing. In truth - the work goes far beyond scars too! I'm floored by how well this amazing human has braided her passion for science, research, and the power of touch into some comprehensive, field-changing, tissue mobilizing stuff! So incredibly grateful and more to share soon!

It’s with bitter sweetness that I celebrated my last day yesterday with Little Red Door Cancer Agency as one of their oncology massage therapists. I am deeply grateful for their commitment to supporting oncology patients, survivors and caregivers as well as their understanding and bolstering the importance of quality massage therapy services for this special population. Little did I know when I came to Indiana two years ago that I would be awarded their first ever oncology massage therapy scholarship and my life would be forever changed. I am so incredibly proud of and grateful for this organization as well as all of the amazing clients I was honored to serve and learn from during my tenure there. If you know anyone in the Indianapolis and/or Muncie area that would benefit from the support and expertise of this compassionate mission and organization please spread the word!

Dear friends and followers,

It has come to my attention that a local business with a similar name was raided late last week due to improper business practices. It is extremely troubling and disappointing that the massage industry is used as a cover for people with these intentions. This being the case, in such a small town, I’d like to let everyone know that I will be changing the name of my business due to this unfortunate event and that I have no intention to be mistaken for or in affiliation with such an abusive system and practice of business. Stay tuned for some better news and a brand new name! I look forward to continue working with the wonderful, well-meaning people of this community and fervently standing by the high standards of my profession and practice.

Mushroom as metaphor:
My mentor and teacher Indiana Herbal Center says, “mushrooms want you to pick them, the forest needs us to forage”. I mull over this idea and it inspires me to wonder what kind of interactions our body is calling for that will allow for replenishment. Massage is one interaction, movement another, nature… what calls to you as an act that inevitably drives more abundance? What shakes the spore loose to spread?
