The flag retirement box that was in Chandler park provided by the local Boy Scout Troop 119 suffered some storm damage this spring and just wasn't in the best of shape due to wood rot. To keep this service to the community going for many years to come, we invested in a steel drop box that is now installed and will hold up to the elements much better. It is currently not decorated, however we are working on that but we wanted to get it set up for use right away.

With the bridge repair over Jack's Defeat Creek underway INDOT has changed the left lane to be merged just in front of the funeral home. With this being done our driveway is still open to access the funeral home and if you are coming to a service or to visit we recommend turning that turn signal on early and slowing down so as not to hit the barrels that are placed nearby.

At the Owen County Fairgrounds the Indiana State Dirt Series Flat Track Race this evening they will hold a special event in remembrance of Hunter "Smidge" Warthan who was an instrumental part of their organization.
