She then completed a residency at The University of Maryland Medical Systems in obstetrics and gynecology. Prior to going to medical school she had a MBA in Finance from The American University, Kogod College of Business in Washington, DC, and had worked in industry (Fortune 500). Although solo practice is rare in today's setting, Dr. Muoneke is one of the few of this dying breed; She strongly believes that this is the ideal way to bring healthcare - obstetrical, gynecological, and well-being to the female patient. She has been a successful solo practitioner essentially since her completion of residency. Her approach to complete women's care is driven by a belief that goes beyond physical and current-day medical practices. She believes that today's woman craves participation that requires a strong interpersonal relationship with her healthcare giver. Dr. Muoneke offers this extensive personal relationship that is built between herself and each patient as an individual. She has coined the "team approach", whereby through education and ease the patient becomes a part of her own healthcare process.
