Have you ever wondered how an infant's hearing can be tested? We are able to diagnose a hearing loss in newborns and infants under 6 months of age. Small earphones are placed in the baby's ears, and soft electrodes (small sensor stickers) are placed on their forehead and behind their ear. Clicking sounds and tones pass through the earphones, and the electrodes measure how the hearing nerves and the brain respond to the sound.
