Lutheran Village at Miller's Grant-An LSMMD Community Together, we can create the life you want, filled with fitness, relaxation, fine dining and more. Today, nearly 350 older adults call LVMG home.

Lutheran Village at Miller's Grant in Howard County welcomed its first residents in 2016. The community provided person-centered care and opportunities for residents to live the best life possible, and partners with community and educational organizations that share a passion for service and support for older adults. The care continuum allows residents access to on-site health care. LVMG is a Lutheran Social Ministries of Maryland community.

Our recent Wellness Fair, sponsored by the Health Services Committee, brought together over 20 vendors and so many opportunities to learn, explore and connect.

From delicious food, CPR training and blood pressure screenings to vision resources, acupuncture, physical therapy, medical equipment, travel options and more—there was something for everyone. Plus, residents, team members and guests enjoyed prizes, giveaways and engaging demonstrations highlighting resources available right here in Howard County.

Today our sales team checked first walk-thru of Building E off their to do list. Building E is our ew Independent Living apartment building!

What a treat! Residents and guests enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the Main Street Living Room with the beautiful flute duets of Aeryn and Marlee. Their lively performance of light classics and familiar favorites brought plenty of smiles and toe-tapping moments. With The Pub open, everyone was able to grab a drink, relax and soak in the uplifting music in a warm and welcoming setting.

Tim was previously a maintenance technician, where he brought dedication, skill and a positive attitude to every project. Now, in his new role, he’ll be coordinating turnover efforts to ensure our homes are in top shape for incoming residents.

Our community rocked around the clock at our 1950’s Sock Hop! Our life enrichment and resident Llfe teams hosted an unforgettable throwback party, complete with music from the talented Mr. Charisma.

Residents danced, sang along to classic hits, enjoyed tasty snacks and refreshments, and captured memories at our balloon-filled 1950s backdrop. What a fun blast from the past!

Last month, our residents spent a wonderful day exploring local art and cuisine!

The day began at The Meeting House Gallery, where they enjoyed “Visions of Hope & Happiness” by the Laurel Art Guild. After a delicious lunch at Ledo’s Pizza, the group continued on to the Howard County Center for the Arts to take in “Paint It! Ellicott City 2025” and “No Boundaries: Unrestricted Artistry.”

It was the perfect mix of creativity, conversation and community—an inspiring day for all who joined!
