I am happy to announce the book I collaborated on with my good friend Dr. Brendan Stack Jr. MD, FACS, FACE and Dr. Revathi Shekar on Craniofacial Pain. It is a beautiful book written by many authors about how the dental profession can and has been treating cases the medical community has overlooked or has not considered the dental profession as a positive factor in treating certain disorders. I want to encourage everyone to secure a copy to gain the knowledge within it and to gain the understanding it provides. Then the wisdom of what to do will follow. I want to thank all the authors within the book and especially Dr. Stack because he knows how much his father meant as a mentor to me. But the truth is that 18 different body areas control movement, including the 5th cranial nerve within the nose and mouth. Has anyone ever SNEEZED? How many body parts move when one sneezes? Thus, a movement disorder such as Tourette syndrome and cervical dystonia may arise from these areas and not the brain.
