Ellinwood District Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Room with 2 beds, providing inpatient acute care, skilled swing bed, and intermediate swing bed care and many outpatient services: physical and occupational therapy, a full service laboratory, and a full range of imaging services – traditional x-ray, CT, mobile mammography, mobile US/sonography, mobile MRI. The Hospital also operates Ellinwood Rural Health Clinic, which opened in 1993. Providers on staff include Charlie Joslin, MD, Christopher Brown, MD, Debbie Wolfe, ARPN, and Darnell Ganley, PA. The clinic offers full family care, from newborn to geriatric care, provided by practitioners that truly care about you and your health. Ellinwood District Hospital is a leased facility with Great Plains Health Alliance, Inc. (GPHA), a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the success of small, rural hospitals. GPHA provides guidance and support to EDH, so that your caregivers can focus on what’s important – YOU, instead of administrative details.
