Ellinwood District Hospital is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Room with 2 beds, providing inpatient acute care, skilled swing bed, and intermediate swing bed care and many outpatient services: physical and occupational therapy, a full service laboratory, and a full range of imaging services – traditional x-ray, CT, mobile mammography, mobile US/sonography, mobile MRI. The Hospital also operates Ellinwood Rural Health Clinic, which opened in 1993. Providers on staff include Charlie Joslin, MD, Christopher Brown, MD, Debbie Wolfe, ARPN, and Darnell Ganley, PA. The clinic offers full family care, from newborn to geriatric care, provided by practitioners that truly care about you and your health. Ellinwood District Hospital is a leased facility with Great Plains Health Alliance, Inc. (GPHA), a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the success of small, rural hospitals. GPHA provides guidance and support to EDH, so that your caregivers can focus on what’s important – YOU, instead of administrative details.

Meet Leon Sobba. After being bedridden for 3 months, he lost much of his muscle and couldn’t stand on his own when he first arrived at EHC. Thanks in part to our harness lift system and dedicated therapy team, Leon progressed from needing 100% support to walking on his own again. 💙 This innovative system allows us to adjust weight-bearing, giving patients the safe movement they need to rebuild strength step by step. Today, Leon no longer needs the lift—and we couldn’t be prouder of his progress!

• Documenting work and communicating clearly with end users
• Experience and interest in Cyber Security is desired.
This is a support-level role, ideal for a recent graduate, student, or anyone looking to gain hands-on IT experience in a real-world environment.

Join Our Surgical Team in Our Brand-New Facility!
Ellinwood Hospital and Clinic has recently moved into a state-of-the-art, newly built hospital featuring advanced Steris surgical equipment and thoughtfully designed spaces that prioritize patient comfort and staff efficiency. As we expand our Outpatient Surgery Services, we are actively seeking skilled professionals to join our surgical team in the following part-time roles:

Current Openings:

✅ OR Scrub Tech (CST or RN)

Prepare the OR and surgical field

Assist surgeons during procedures with sterile instruments and supplies

Support surgical instrument processing using Steris reprocessing systems

Maintain sterile technique and equipment readiness

✅ OR RN Circulator

Coordinate and manage OR activities before, during, and after procedures

Prepare surgical rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are available

Document care and assist with patient safety and positioning

Support the surgical team throughout the case

✅ RN – Pre/Post-Op (Pre-Op & PACU)

Prepare patients for surgery including assessments and education

Monitor and care for patients recovering from anesthesia in the PACU

Manage pain control, vital signs, and discharge instructions

Communicate effectively with surgical and anesthesia teams

Qualifications:

RN positions: Current Kansas RN license required; BLS and ACLS certifications

Scrub Tech: CST certification (NBSTSA or NCCT) preferred; BLS required

Experience in surgical services, perioperative nursing, PACU, or sterile processing preferred

Strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork, and a patient-first mindset
