Many of you already know Troy from his work as a physical therapist, where he has built trusted relationships with patients, families, and staff. Stepping into this new role allows Troy to expand that impact — supporting our caregivers, strengthening services, and helping ensure a strong, sustainable future for healthcare right here in Ellinwood.

Troy will continue limited patient care during a thoughtful transition, staying connected to the frontline work that helps guide his patient-centered leadership. His priorities include teamwork, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and keeping high-quality care close to home for our community.

PRN SURGICAL STAFF- OR RN CIRCULATOR

Ellinwood Hospital & Clinic is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Circulator to join our surgical team.

Position Overview:
The OR Circulator is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care during surgical procedures. This role requires strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
Verify patient identity, surgical site, and procedure details.
Circulate during surgery, maintaining a sterile environment and providing necessary supplies and support.
Monitor patient condition throughout the procedure.
Document all intraoperative care accurately and thoroughly.
Assist with post-operative patient transport and recovery coordination.

Qualifications:

Current Kansas RN license (or ability to obtain).
BLS and ACLS certification required (or obtained within 6 months).
Prior OR circulating experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Schedule:

PRN on surgery days.

As we reflect on the past year, we’re proud of the incredible milestones achieved at Ellinwood Hospital & Clinic — all made possible by our dedicated staff, trusted providers, and supportive community.

🏥 This year, we:
• Welcomed three new providers — Dr. Sanger, M.D., Ashley Komarek, APRN, and Meredith Joiner, APRN
• Opened a new Walk-In Clinic for convenient, same-day care
• Expanded pain management services with Greg Seiler, CRNA
• Partnered with Salina Urology to bring specialty care closer to home
• Welcomed Dr. Grove, M.D. to perform outpatient surgeries locally
• Expanded our laboratory services with Direct Access Lab Testing
• Offered baseline concussion testing to help keep student athletes safer
• Celebrated one year in our new facility
• Launched a new patient system with easier check-in and online bill pay
