Anti-marijuana activists have already been mischaracterizing this syndrome as an increasing risk of cannabis consumers where much of the data is flawed by misdiagnosis and much of that misdiagnosis is driven by such misinformation creating a bad policy creating self propagating loop.

We just got the news of the passing of Tony Vance. Tony passed during the night as he slept. MSgt Thomas Vance, Retired USAF, was one of a small number of leaders of Veterans For Medical Cannabis Access credited with monumental change of the United States landscape of cannabis reform. Tony tirelessly fought for the military Veteran's [and all patients] access to cannabis. Tony's death interrupts his efforts in Michigan to create a pilot Veterans access program under state law. We pledge to continue this work in his name.

Today we mourn the un-necessary death of our good friend and ally Erec Hesse. Erec was a military Veteran, a close friend and a tireless advocate for truth and justice. Erec was shot by police for refusing to drop a large knife in an action likely to be labeled an abuse of police force. To his mourning widow, Gaby Kozar I offer my assistance in any way it may be needed. I pledge that Erec will be our focus in March [in Vienna during the UN drug control meeting] as we begin to mourn and come to grips with his loss.
