The leaves are turning and fall is in the air! Friday some of our residents had a great time using apple peelers/corers/ slicers to prepare a whole lot of apples for homemade apple crisp. That was as much fun as eating the finished product that afternoon at our Apple Crisp Social! Fall fun!

Today we celebrated International Day of Peace in Hawthorne Place. We made doves together from paper plates, and then wrote words of love and peace on them. Mark, Activity Staff for Hawthorne Place, led a discussion on how we can bring peace in our own lives and to those around us. He really got them thinking and participating! Then we had coffee and yummy muffins. Another wonderful day.

We had a wonderful outing to the St. Louis Art Museum yesterday. The staff was so friendly and helpful! We had a guided tour and learned so much about art during various periods of history. Our pictures of the sculptures and painting don't come near to seeing them in person. What a great experience it was!!
