Creek Valley was filled with holiday cheer as we hosted our Annual Ugly Sweater Contest and Christmas Carol sing-along. Residents and guests came dressed in their most creative (and delightfully tacky!) sweaters, making the contest a colorful highlight of the evening. Jeannie was crowned this year’s winner, though the competition was tough with so many wonderfully ugly sweaters on display.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, we were joined by the 9:30 choir from St. Margaret Mary of Alacoque, whose beautiful voices filled the room with classic carols and joyful melodies. Their performance brought smiles, laughter, and even a few happy tears.

After the singing and contest, everyone gathered to enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, sharing stories and savoring the warmth of the season together. It was a perfect way to celebrate community, creativity, and Christmas spirit.

The image of 3rd graders singing carols, then sitting down with residents to share cookies, punch, and the joy of making ornaments together, is exactly what the holiday season is about—connection across generations. Moments like these are powerful because they blend tradition (caroling), community (sharing treats), and creativity (ornament-making). They give the children a chance to learn from older generations while bringing joy and energy to Creek Valley. And for the residents, it’s a reminder that they’re cherished and part of a larger community.

Creek Valley residents gobbled up the fun during our 3rd Annual Turkey Bowling event! Yes, you read that right—we bowled using a turkey breast, and it was a hilarious hit. With a record-breaking 22 participants, the competition was fierce and the laughter nonstop as each resident bowled four festive frames. Cheers echoed through the room as pins tumbled and spirits soared. A big congratulations to our champion, Linda M., who bowled her way to victory and claimed the coveted Turkey Bowling title! This quirky tradition remains a resident favorite, bringing joy, friendly competition, and a whole lot of turkey-themed fun. 🦃🎳
