Ellsworth County Medical Center Critical Access Hospital offering inpatient & outpatient services, 24-7 ER, & 4 Rural Health Clinics

The medical center has a 24/7 emergency room and trauma room with Advanced Cardiac Life Support trained staff, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, cardiac rehabilitation therapy, respiratory therapy, and a fully staffed nursing unit (skilled care, acute care, respite care). ECMC's diagnostic services include laboratory services, radiology (digital mammography, MRI, digital bone density, x-ray, and ultrasound). We have an exceptional Outpatient Clinic which hosts several Specialties including; Audiology, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Licensed Counselor, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Podiatry, Rheumatology, and Wound Care. ECMC is also home to 4 Rural Health Clinics locations; Ellsworth, Holyrood, Lucas, and Wilson. Ellsworth's Rural Health Clinic hosts a Saturday morning clinic, called SatCare.

⛳ Earlier this month, Team ECMC enjoyed a great day on the course at the Grow Ellsworth County Golf Tournament. Our crew included Dr. Josh Bahr, Paul Bahr, PT & Director of Rehab and Respiratory Services, and Jeni Bahr, PT — a father, son, and wife/mother trio who all serve right here at ECMC!

We were also grateful to have Kevin Haxton as our team's 4th member. Many in our ECMC family remember and miss his late wife, Emily, who was a valued member of our rehab department. Kevin’s presence made the day even more special.

Thank you to Grow Ellsworth County for hosting such a fantastic community event — and to our team for representing ECMC so well both on and off the course! 💙

Ellsworth County Medical Center will soon begin securely destroying old paper medical records from our clinics — for patients whose last visit was before December 31, 2014 and who are not currently active patients.

📅 Destruction starts: September 2, 2025
📄 This does not affect electronic records from 2012 to now — only older paper clinic records.
