We’re thrilled to launch our Progressive Care's memory care program—Meaning-Full Days—designed to bring deeper purpose, connection, and joy to our Memory Care Neighborhoods.

As part of this exciting evolution, our Activities Department is now our Health & Wellness Department, reflecting our commitment to whole-person care. 💚

At the heart of Meaning-Full Days is our dedicated Coordinator, who works hand-in-hand with nursing staff, families, and residents to create personalized support and engagement—because every moment matters.

Spring is in the air, and we’ve been busy making memories here at Preferred! 🌸 Our monthly library visit was a hit—we had so much fun making spring decorations. The 4H club also visited and put on a drama play that was such a joy to watch! We’re wishing the 4H club the best of luck in their competition tomorrow! 🌟

Some more of the highlights from last week included Bible study, Church Service, bingo, walking club, card games, and a St. Patrick's Day Crafts, which always bring plenty of smiles, laughter, friendly competition.

At Preferred we love spending time together, staying active, being creative, and making great memories along the way. 🍀

We are having another great week at Preferred! On Monday, residents enjoyed getting creative with playdough during our sensory activity, making things like horseshoes and snowmen. We also had fun doing nails and playing bingo. Tuesday brought lots of smiles with a fun balloon activity and a friendly game of cards. Today we stayed active with our walking club. Throughout the week, residents have also been participating in exercise to keep moving and feeling their best. It’s been wonderful seeing everyone having fun and staying engaged! 😊

February was bursting with love, laughter, and so many memorable moments here at Preferred Senior Living — especially during Valentine’s Week! 💌🌹
We started the month with a heartwarming visit from our local FFA students, who delivered beautiful roses to every resident. 🌹 Their kindness filled our community with smiles and joy!
A huge thank‑you to Family Dollar, who raised funds to gift each resident a Valentine’s balloon and chocolates, and Julie for delivering them! 🎈🍫 Your generosity made the holiday feel extra special! ❤️
We also want to extend a sincere thank‑you to Patty Hutter (Nielsen’s) for delivering gorgeous flowers that brightened so many of our residents’ days. 🌸 We appreciate your thoughtfulness so much!
Another big, heartfelt thank‑you to all the families who made and sent Valentine’s cards for our residents. 💕 Your love and creativity truly touched their hearts and made the week even more meaningful.
We had wonderful visits throughout the month as well:
🎶 Thank you to Larry for sharing your music and bringing such joy to our community — the residents always look forward to your performances!
📚 And thank you to the Ellsworth Public Library for leading your monthly craft session. Our residents love these creative afternoons with you!
Residents also helped create a beautiful paper heart wreath, now proudly displayed in our dining room. 😍💕
February was full of connection, community, and kindness — and we are so grateful for everyone who helped make it such a special month.

We are grateful for the pleasant memories of fall. A BIG heartfelt thank you is expressed to Larry and his staff for bringing Vino in the Valley to Preferred Senior Living, organizing an Italian-themed night in October with delicious food prepared by Chef Anthony, great music by Adam, and exciting prizes for our residents and staff. Fun filled evening!
