What a wonderful idea, if it were really possible. I'd love to rid everyone I meet of their pain. What time has taught me, however, is that the real magic comes from learning how to hold our pain.

Holding our pain and suffering in pain are different things. We can heal while holding our pain. In fact, we must.

We at Whitestar Wellness want to wish everyone out there a happy Pride month!

With our loved community at risk, we'd love to share some ways you can support the LGBTQIA+ community.

1. Education and awareness- knowledge is power. Keep learning!
2. Communication- use inclusive language when possible. Not sure the right terminology to use? Ask!
3. Financial support- put your money where your mouth is and donate to organizations fighting for LGBTQIA+ rights. There are many, but some organizations you could support are: The Trevor Project, Lambda Legal, GSA Network Pride Foundation, The ACLU and the Center for Black Equity.
4. Advocacy and activism: Stay knowledgable of current political decisions being made and reach out to your representative telling them that it's important to you that they vote in favor of LGBTQIA+ rights. Attend rallies or protests. Most importantly- VOTE!
