🎄✨ Spreading Christmas Cheer at Discovery Commons North Shore! ✨🎄

Yesterday, members of our amazing hospice team Sydney, Allie, Jami, Sara and Crystobel, brought holiday joy to the residents at Discovery Commons North Shore! With the help of our beloved Companion Dog, Boomer, smiles were everywhere as patients stopped by to snap festive photos with him. 🐾📸
Discovery Commons also served up delicious hot chocolate, making the day even sweeter. ❤️
We’re so grateful for moments like these that remind us of the power of compassion and connection during the holiday season.

OUR STORY

The company was started after we put our heads together and realized we had to find a better way to provide Hospice care. One of our biggest frustrations is the “corporate environment”, in which hospice companies take care of patients. Everyone started to become a “cookie cutter” type of patient, whose care did not get the individual treatment and unique management that we believed was required to achieve the best care possible. At Legacy Hospice we recognize the unique legacy that each individual person has and how it is so intertwined with who that person is and who their families are. We never take this information for granted and we labor to position ourselves as an integral part of the patient’s family that gives support and insight to the true essence of who the patient is and how he or she wants to journey towards the end of life. We at Legacy Hospice ask ourselves daily, just how we would take care of our own family, and make sure we translate this idealism to our entire staff and support a culture of true care and compassion that would stand against the rigors of healthcare services today.
