We are excited to announce that today marks the opening of the new Emergency Department side of our expansion!

Now comes step two: renovating the existing Emergency Department. During this phase:
✔️ The Emergency Department will operate at about one-third of its final size.
✔️ There will be a new entrance for ambulatory patients, as well as a designated entrance for ambulances, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters.
✔️ The waiting space will be smaller, and in some cases, family members may be asked to wait in their vehicles.

We know these changes may cause some inconvenience, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding. The fully completed Emergency Department will open in Spring/Summer 2026—and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Summit Pacific is a vibrant and expanding nonprofit public hospital looking for a compassionate, skilled Care Manager to join our team!

In this critical role, you'll lead care coordination for acute and post-acute patients—ensuring seamless transitions, timely care, and exceptional outcomes. You'll work closely with interdisciplinary teams to improve care, optimize resources, and support patients every step of the way.

What You'll Do:
Coordinate care and resource utilization for acute/skilled patients
Ensure safe, supported transitions and discharges
Collaborate across teams to deliver cost-effective, patient-centered care
Educate patients and families on discharge plans and payer guidelines
Contribute to continuous quality improvement & special projects

Qualifications:
2+ years RN experience in Acute Care or Care Management
Active WA or Multistate RN License
Current BLS

Preferred: BSN & Care Manager Certification

Last night, the Summit Pacific Medical Foundation proudly hosted the Saving Lives VIP Victory Celebration to honor our incredible and generous donors. These individuals and organizations play a vital role in supporting Summit Pacific and share our vision of “Through Summit Care, we will build the healthiest community in the Nation.”

Over the past 18 months, the funds raised have made a tremendous impact, enabling us to invest in essential medical advancements. Thanks to your generosity, we’ve acquired a new MRI machine, a patient monitoring system, and additional cardiology equipment.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the businesses, individual donors, and community partners who have united to support Summit Pacific. Together, we are saving lives and transforming healthcare in our community.

Today, we celebrated a major milestone with our very first patient scan using the brand-new MRI machine in our hospital expansion. A big shoutout to Jason W. for being the first patient to experience this incredible advancement!

This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our corporate and individual donors, as well as the dedication of our Summit caregivers. Together, through the Summit Pacific Medical Foundation Saving Lives campaign, we raised the funds to make this dream a reality—purchasing the MRI machine and expanding our cardiology department.

We’re thrilled for the many “firsts” to come as we open the expansion for service. Stay tuned for more updates!
