I wanted to take a moment to explain how to get assistance at The Unforgotten Haven.
Please do not have people call, email or inbox us.
There is no way to respond to over 600 messages a day. We are busy purchasing food and items for Our Pantry, Making Food Trays, Assisting Families and picking up donations from Our Corporate Sponsors!!!
🙌You DO NOT need an appointment to come in.
🙏You need a photo i.d with your current address (Can't be expired and NO phone images)
We DO NOT allow others to shop for anyone else.
🙌If you have a baby or child in need of diapers, wipes, fornula or anything from Our Baby Blessing Room, the baby or child must already be born and you will need a birth certificate or hospital discharge paperwork for each baby or child needing these items.
You need your photo i.d and the birth certificate or hospital discharge paperwork every time you come in. Must be physical paperwork or birth certificate (NO phone images)
🙏Our Pantry Operates (22) Hours a week to receive assistance or to drop off donations * Please note we do not allow Pantry 30 Day Shopping on Saturdays. Saturdays are reserved for Specialty Items. You can come Every Saturday for Specialty Items and that is not included in your 30 Day Shopping. You must have your photo i.d. with your current address every time you come in.
You can also come to any of Our Pop-Up Events that are posted to Our Page and that is not included in your 30 day Pantry Shopping. We usually have 1 Days notice and sometimes an hours notice. You need to follow Our page to see when we post a Pop-Up Event.
🙌If you are a foster parent you need your photo i.d with your current address (Can't be expired and NO phone images) and the physical placement paperwork with raised seal (No phone images)
🙏We are independently operated which means we DO NOT receive food from The South Jersey Food Bank and rely on donations to be able to assist over (450) Families Per Month
🙌We are more then a Pantry and Run 21 Projects Including a Homeless Outreach Initiative on Sundays which is another 5 Hours preparing for and Serving. We have a Volunteer Headquarters in an entirely separate Building.
🙏We have an incredible team of (75) Volunteers and sometimes Our Building is hectic. Please give us Grace.
🙌Thank You post are now limited. After posting Every Single donation for 10 years my time has to be focused on helping those in need during the Food Insecurity Crisis. We APPRECIATE EVERY Single In-Kind Donation, Monetary Donation, Facebook Share and even Prayers for Strength to Keep Our Team Healthy and Focused.
🙏We only shut down 1 week out of the year from Christmas to New Years and that didn't even happen last year because we were gifted with a massive food donation so we opened up and served those in need. We close for a few holidays and if there is a tornado or hurricane watch. Our Team is Big Enough to give each othet breaks and time off and still operate at full capacity.
🙌We are the ONLY pantry that I am AWARE of that operates 22 hours plus another 5 hours for Our Homeless Outreach Initiative 27 Hours a Week Serving those in need. This does not include the hours for dropping off donations for Our Projects such as Snack Packs for Chemo or picking up donations from FedEx or Petsmart or food and supplies we purchase for Our Pantry.
