Shortly after Christmas five years ago my accountants wife called me begging for a Yard Card Sign for her husband's 50th birthday. Another well-known nationwide franchise had turned her down because she was just out of their service area.

I had never seen a Yard Card before but she had faith in me. She is also the sweetest person, one I can never say "no" to. I did some research, ordered a Happy Birthday starter sign, planned the balloon decor, and drove an hour to install it on his birthday. It was a hit!

We had found a "no-contact" way to celebrate birthdays and special occasions, that allowed us to work and spread joy!

This small business brought us joy, allowed us to work without risking our health, and helped our community through a difficult moment in history.

Today I finished closing the office space that was the home base of "Yard Cards by A Couple of Clowns" and it is bittersweet. There were a lot of great memories in that space!

I'm taking a break from sneaking into yards at night and struggling with frozen ground, but just until April!

I would like to thank Miss Genet and Miss Elise for all their hard work and the amazing designs that they created. We are a great team!

I would like to thank our customers for supporting our small business! We truly appreciate your support over the last five years.

We wish all of you a Happy New Year, and we'll see you in April!

We will be closed until April 1st, 2026, yes, we are staying inside warm and cozy this winter!

We planned an awesome party for this year to celebrate our third decade in business as A Couple of Clowns, but like many of you, we had to cancel. And that made us think, what could we do to help spread love and laughter during a crisis? And Yard Cards by A Couple of Clowns came to be. We are a new business with a lot of experience in bringing smiles to peoples faces! We strive to do our best to surprise, delight, and share your enthusiasm, bringing energy and excitement into every special occasion that we decorate for.
