Christy Matusiak DC

Christy Matusiak DC I help patients achieve their health goals and overcome mental, physical and nutritional challenges Because I seek to correct the cause, and not its effect.

Dr. Matusiak feels that utilizing AK sets her apart from other chiropractors who will often use pain-suppressing modalities that do not entirely address the underlying cause for your symptoms. Her practice emphasizes spinal and extremity manipulation, muscle work, cranial/TMJ corrections, reflexology, meridian balancing, energy healing, nutrition, and lifestyle modification to enhance overall health. Practicing in Wilmette, IL with Integrated Holistic Healthcare, Dr. Christy Matusiak, D.C. aims to help patients return to an active and rewarding lifestyle as quickly as possible without the use of drugs or surgery. She understands that the healing process extends beyond pain relief/symptom reduction and strongly believes in educating and motivating patients to make lifestyle changes that will prevent future injury or illness. Why I am a doctor of Chiropractic

Because I honor the inborn potential of everyone to be truly healthy. Because I desire to help the newborn, the aged, and those without hope. Because I choose to care for the patient with the disease, not the disease. Because I wish to assist rather than intrude; to free rather than control. Because I know that doctors do not heal, only the body can heal itself. Because I have been called to serve others. Because I want to make a difference. Because every day I get to witness miracles. Because I know it is right.

-William Esteb

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and
prevention of disease.”

-Thomas Edison

This applies to health more than we realize.
It’s not always the newest trend, supplement, or bio-hack that changes your life.

Sometimes it’s releasing the things weighing you down . . . the crappy thoughts, the inflammatory foods, the lack of movement, the constant stress . . .

Remove what’s heavy and your body will remember how to soar✨

Share this 📲 with your friend who always buys into the newsy health trend!

There’s a lot of conversation happening right now around hair loss, hormones, and menopause. And honestly? I’m glad. For too long, women were told to just “deal with it.” 😑

Here’s my perspective
Menopause is a normal phase of aging, not something that means you’re broken. At 45+, we’re not meant to feel, think or function the same way we did at 25 . . . and that's okay 👏

Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) *can* be a powerful tool for some women, but it’s not the only tool!! And it definitely shouldn’t be the first or only solution without addressing the bigger picture.

This stage of life often comes with a perfect storm . . . high stress, career demands, raising kids, caring for aging parents, burned-out adrenals, and not enough sleep, balanced nutrition, or recovery ❌

Without supporting the basics - managing stress, more movement, balanced nourishment, getting enough sleep, and taking care of our emotional wellbeing - hormones alone can act like a Band-Aid rather than addressing the root cause.

I’m hopeful that in 2026 I’ll be able to share a hormone course that walks through all of these options so women feel informed, supported, and confident - not overwhelmed or stuck 🙌 🫶

You are not meant to do this alone!

Skip the new year, new you narrative.

Goals are good. Growth is good. Wanting positive change is good 🌟
Just make sure what you’re pursuing is actually what you want . . . not what you feel pressured into.

Winter isn’t a season for grinding nonstop. It’s a season for slowing down, reflecting, and listening.
Honor your body. Respect your nervous system. Nurture yourself 🧘

Whether that looks like hitting the ground running… or resting, grounding, and recalibrating - both are valid 🤍

Comment one word you’re carrying into this season👇

✨ Happy New Year! ✨

In our home, the new year always begins with vision boards - a tradition rooted in reflection, intention, and gentle growth. Winter is such a powerful season for slowing down, inviting peace, and doing inner work… and it’s also a beautiful time to plant seeds for what’s ahead. ❄️🌱

This year we switched things up and created BINGO-style vision boards (a fun idea gifted to me by a patient!) - turning goals into something engaging, balanced, and kid-approved. For every bingo they earn money or prizes . . . and a full board earns $100 💰🎉

It’s a practice I encourage with my patients — and one I love living out at home too.
Progress over perfection. Intention without pressure.

Here’s to a year of growth, connection, and elevating. 💛🥰

Dollar store vitamins may look harmless - but flip the label 😱

Artificial dyes. Cheap fillers. Low-quality ingredients ❌

Reminder: Your health isn’t a bargain bin item. Quality matters!

This weird little pocket of time between Christmas and New Year’s . . .
Where no one knows what day it is, routines are fuzzy, and everything feels slower ✨

There’s nothing wrong with resting.
There’s also nothing wrong with keeping just enough structure to stay grounded, especially with kids home and schedules out the window 🤪

In Norway, this time is called “Romjul” - a pause in the calendar. A season for quiet walks, reflection, warmth, togetherness and breathing before the world speeds up again.

So wherever you land this week . . . resting, reflecting or gently resetting - let it be enough 🤍🤍🤍

👉 Save this as a reminder to slow down + share it with someone who needs permission to pause.

✨ Today’s reminder: breathe it in, move your body, get outside - no matter the temperature.

Nature doesn’t stop being beautiful just because it’s cold.
And neither do you.

Even on the hard days.
Even in uncomfortable seasons.
Peace of mind shows up in the body when we slow down enough to notice the moment we’re in🤍

What’s one small thing you can do today to support your peace? Drop it in the comments below!👇

When Al makes you a crystal ball holder, you roll with it. 😆🔮

Holiday reminder: what you surround yourself with actually matters - to your body, your brain, and your nervous system.

Choose love. Choose laughter.
Choose less chaos when you
can 🎄✨

This is a hard time of year for many to stay on the proverbial “wagon” when it comes to health habits!

But it’s far from impossible. The small things add up. Don’t quit. Stay the course. We got this!!

Yesterday I had a choice.

I could stay in a bad mood, give in to sugar + carb cravings, and chalk it up to “it’s the holidays.”
Or… I could move my body and practice what I preach.

After a rough night and an early wake-up, it would’ve been easy to say “whatever” and stay stuck. But I knew my body needed support - not excuses. If I wanted to feel like my best self, I had to show up anyway.

So I chose a protein-filled breakfast, a workout, and meditation at the office . . . and the day completely turned around 👏

Not every meal. Not every workout. Not every day will feel easy.

But consistency > motivation.
And doing the hard thing usually pays off ✨
