Taking time to safely and efficiently clean out the medicine cabinet helps ensure that only the correct, up-to-date medications are being used. The Elmhurst Police Department is hosting a Drug Take Back event on Saturday, April 25th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If you have medications you haven't used, don't need, or that are expired, drop them off using the drive-thru service in the west parking lot of the police station at 125 E. 1st Street. Please note: needles are NOT accepted at this event.

Keep up the great work, Alzheimers Association! And thank you to my colleague Pete Miska, who shared information with me about the new Medicare GUIDE program that supports families caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia.
