The Chemung County Nursing Facility would like to thank all of the families, community members, churches, schools, community clubs and organizations for their recent donations which made it possible for all of our residents to receive two large Christmas gift bags this year. Thank you the following donors.
**Marge Redfield, and community for 158 filled gift bags and 875 cards of well wishes. Plus extra hygiene products, pens, writing paper, extra word search, crossword puzzles and adult color with color pencils.
**Donation from the kindness club for 158 filled bags of goodies and a large stuffed animal.
**Christian Faith Fellowship, Ron and Sue Messemer for 75 gift bags with word puzzles, adult color books, color pencils and homemade crocheted items. Also handmade beautiful afghans and lap robes.
**Maurices Dept Store and community for 87 pairs of slip proof slipper socks.
**Senior Smile Squad for spending the day handing out treats, cards and smiles.
**Junior Rotary Club from Thomas Edison High School for cards, treats and adopting four of our residents with clothing needs.
**Ridge Road School Room 124 for homemade Christmas cards from the children.
**Hendy Elementary School (Brittany S) for the 2025 homemade calendars and BOCES for printing them for the residents. Residents LOVE THESE.
**Chemung County Sunrise Rotary Club for the beautiful Poinsettias.
**Horseheads Rotary Club for the monthly birthday cards to each resident.
**Mary from Ageless Attitude for always making sure one of our residents in need has beautiful clothing for the season.
**Thank to all who made donations to the Resident Memorial Fund which assist residents in need and to purchase entertainment for all residents.
**Last but not least the Horseheads Elks Club for their yearly generous donation. This year they provided the facility with two 55 inch TV flat screen TV's for the 2nd and 4th floor dayrooms and wall mounts. Many Animatronic pets(Cats/Dogs) for our Alzheimer's residents in need of someone to love and gift cards to various stores to provide decorating and crafting needs during the year.
Thank you to Brad, Marge, Ron and Bonnie for playing Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Elf's for our Christmas Eve delivery of gifts.
