Thank you to all the community members, schools and organizations who helped make Valentine's Day so special for our nursing home residents. Southport Kiwanis dropped off activity bags for our rehabilitation residents to provide them with activity through the holiday. We received over 300 cards from community members (Thank you Marge Redfield for organizing), Ridge Road School, Rm 124 for the beautiful cards and messages. Junior Rotary Club provided flowers and cards to all residents, hand delivered. Mary Kay (Thank you Diana Patruzo for Organizing and delivering gifts for the past many years) providing all residents and staff member with candy, and Mary Kay products in a beautiful gift bag.

The Chemung County Nursing Facility would like to thank all of the families, community members, churches, schools, community clubs and organizations for their recent donations which made it possible for all of our residents to receive two large Christmas gift bags this year. Thank you the following donors.
**Marge Redfield, and community for 158 filled gift bags and 875 cards of well wishes. Plus extra hygiene products, pens, writing paper, extra word search, crossword puzzles and adult color with color pencils.
**Donation from the kindness club for 158 filled bags of goodies and a large stuffed animal.
**Christian Faith Fellowship, Ron and Sue Messemer for 75 gift bags with word puzzles, adult color books, color pencils and homemade crocheted items. Also handmade beautiful afghans and lap robes.
**Maurices Dept Store and community for 87 pairs of slip proof slipper socks.
**Senior Smile Squad for spending the day handing out treats, cards and smiles.
**Junior Rotary Club from Thomas Edison High School for cards, treats and adopting four of our residents with clothing needs.
**Ridge Road School Room 124 for homemade Christmas cards from the children.
**Hendy Elementary School (Brittany S) for the 2025 homemade calendars and BOCES for printing them for the residents. Residents LOVE THESE.
**Chemung County Sunrise Rotary Club for the beautiful Poinsettias.
**Horseheads Rotary Club for the monthly birthday cards to each resident.
**Mary from Ageless Attitude for always making sure one of our residents in need has beautiful clothing for the season.
**Thank to all who made donations to the Resident Memorial Fund which assist residents in need and to purchase entertainment for all residents.
**Last but not least the Horseheads Elks Club for their yearly generous donation. This year they provided the facility with two 55 inch TV flat screen TV's for the 2nd and 4th floor dayrooms and wall mounts. Many Animatronic pets(Cats/Dogs) for our Alzheimer's residents in need of someone to love and gift cards to various stores to provide decorating and crafting needs during the year.
Thank you to Brad, Marge, Ron and Bonnie for playing Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Elf's for our Christmas Eve delivery of gifts.

Maurice's department store recently held an event where beautiful, warm non-skid socks could be purchased and donated to local nursing homes. CCNF were gifted 87 pair of slipper/socks. Our residents can use this winter to stay nice and cozy. Thank you to Maurice's, Kelly and Kim for delivering them to the facility and our wonderful community for their kind donations.

Thank you to the congregation of Christian Faith Fellowship, Ron and Sue Mesmer. Seventy-five preassembled packages containing a word puzzle,adult color/pencils and a hand crocheted Angel were donated to the facility. A large bag of extra books, pencils etc. were also donated. Sue and Ron were responsible for beginning the drive for these donations. Our resident will surely enjoy them.
