It’s been one month since the 2025 LCMS Annual Meeting— and what an unforgettable evening it was! 📸 Check out the photos to see some moments & familiar faces from the event.

It was an evening filled with connection, discussion, & inspiration from Dr. Michael Crooke, PhD, former CEO of Patagonia, who shared insights on The Culture of Flow & Autotelic Leadership. We also celebrated our outgoing board president, welcomed the 2025 trustees, & enjoyed a delicious dinner together.

Big thanks to our attendees, speaker, and everyone who made this event a success. Special thanks to our sponsors: McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, Chamber’s Construction, Umpqua Healthcare Banking, and Candid Medical for their generous support.

🌶️ The heat was on at the return of Spicy Bowl VII! Local physician chefs and community members competed in the ultimate cook-off. 🔥

What started in 2014 as a friendly challenge after Dr. Garret Zallen accidentally ate a Fatali pepper has since turned into a spicy food competition and fundraising tradition for local charities. Competing alongside his wife, Dr. Angela Zallen, Drs. Brooke and Christopher Kyle, and Drs. Kevin Modeste and Kim Ruscher, Spicy Bowl 2025 raised nearly $23,000, providing 45,000 meals to neighbors in need (bringing the total raised to over $75k since it started). 🌶️ It’s fantastic to see LCMS members making a difference in our community. Here’s to good food and great company! 💪🍴
