The Taylor Health Center had a joyful weekend celebrating Verda's 104th birthday! She had a ball, eating cake, opening presents and hearing her favorite tunes with family and friends in attendance. Today is National Hospitalist Day! A hospitalist is a provider who only takes care of admitted hospital patients. They don’t treat people in the Emergency Department or operating room; they focus only on admitted patients. Hospitalists are essential to coordinating care, streamlining communication among providers, and ensuring patients receive timely, consistent treatment.

We're proud to announced Travonne King, a Clinical Assistant on 3B and 3C within Arnot Ogden Medical Center, is the newest BEE Award Winner. The BEE (Be Extraordinary Every day) Award recognizes non-nurse team members at Arnot Health for providing extraordinary care to patients, visitors, and each other.

Travonne was nominated because he transformed a frightening and overwhelming hospital experience into one of comfort, trust, and dignity for an 87‑year‑old patient who had avoided medical care his entire adult life. Travonne’s calming presence gave the patient the confidence to speak up about how he felt -- something he had never done before -- and helped him feel safe enough to stay in the hospital and receive the care he urgently needed.
