Well, folks, it finally happened! The infamous Grinch, clearly on a mission to dampen holiday spirits across our area, somehow made his way into Woodbrook earlier this week.

He decided the holiday spirit at Woodbrook was entirely too bright, so he turned the place completely upside down! Decorations were askew, Christmas lights were unplugged, and we’re pretty sure he tried to teach the residents how to properly "frown." The staff and residents weren't sure whether to be horrified or offer him a cup of coffee. (We opted for laughter!)

Thankfully, the incredible professionals at the Chemung County Sheriff's Office responded almost immediately! 🚨 A massive shoutout to them for showing up so quickly and helping to safely es**rt that fuzzy green menace off the premises before he could cause any more ruckus.

They handled the situation like pros, even with all the giggles erupting from the lobby.

The entire incident provided endless entertainment and a story we'll be telling for years. The Grinch may have tried to steal our peace, but he only managed to deliver a healthy dose of holiday hilarity.

We are so grateful for our local law enforcement and for the wonderful community spirit that keeps us laughing through the chaos!

To celebrate this month's birthdays, our dietary department created a stunning pumpkin spice cake. Here's to a happy birthday to all our residents and staff who are celebrating a birthday in November!

Our soup social was a big hit, with two delicious homemade soups on offer - sausage, spinach, and tortellini, and chicken vegetable noodle. Both soups were perfect for the cool weather and some staff members even used the opportunity to catch up with residents one-on-one.
