Today marks National Funeral Directors Recognition Day. We are all so proud to serve our community and to have a team that exemplifies experience (from over 40 years taking care of families, to our nearly licensed resident, we all live local, and we all stand to support those experiencing loss.

This week, our staff will be here to give out our annual glass angel holiday keepsakes. Letters go out to every family who entrusted services of their loved ones to us over the year. This way, there is a memorial at home for the first year after that loss.

Please remember we will be in office and available from 9a to 4p this week, but still serving those in need, and holding services.

Changes happen over our lives. Even if we have things in place, planned out ahead of time, there may be a change in the future.

Pre arrangements made in New York are there to make wishes known, and set aside for future costs. Those accounts are made in solely in the name of the person planning their funeral services.

It is easy to transfer those arrangements, update your wishes, and speak to our directors to make sure any changes are addressed over the years.

Today, we recognize National Grief Awareness Day. Established to curtail the stigma of grief, which effects many individuals and families in different ways and varying severity, it is also a day to educate ourselves on ways that we can approach our grief or the grief of friends or loved ones.

Our directors meet with those who are on a journey, some starting, some changing, some ongoing in powerful grief and loss. In addition to resources provided to our website, please know there are many local and national resources, outside of your own community groups or church fellowship.

Please consider our staff and family as an option to find answers if there is any grief, suffering, or loss you are experiencing.

We are here for all those in need, and willing to find a solution or a support network if we do not already have a way to provide help.
