Changes happen over our lives. Even if we have things in place, planned out ahead of time, there may be a change in the future.

Pre arrangements made in New York are there to make wishes known, and set aside for future costs. Those accounts are made in solely in the name of the person planning their funeral services.

It is easy to transfer those arrangements, update your wishes, and speak to our directors to make sure any changes are addressed over the years.

Today, we recognize National Grief Awareness Day. Established to curtail the stigma of grief, which effects many individuals and families in different ways and varying severity, it is also a day to educate ourselves on ways that we can approach our grief or the grief of friends or loved ones.

Our directors meet with those who are on a journey, some starting, some changing, some ongoing in powerful grief and loss. In addition to resources provided to our website, please know there are many local and national resources, outside of your own community groups or church fellowship.

Please consider our staff and family as an option to find answers if there is any grief, suffering, or loss you are experiencing.

We are here for all those in need, and willing to find a solution or a support network if we do not already have a way to provide help.

We are always so thankful of the trust and support our community show our staff and directors.

Attending a funeral or memorial often leads some to ask us about making prearrangements. New York gives individuals and families absolute control over any funds set aside for future final expenses - even the ability to transfer those funds and arrangements at your will.

This past Saturday, Tyler and rest of NYSFDAs Bridge Commission invited students from all the Mortuary Colleges in New York. The goal of their program is the bridge the gap between school and starting as funeral directors.
