Did you know that every year manufacturers and students alike participate in “Made in the Southern Tier” Manufacturing Day program in celebration of National Manufacturing Day? Events take place all over the United States on or around this date; in years past, nearly 3,000 events engaged over 600,000 participants nationwide.

Manufacturing is at the heart of some of the most impactful work done in our area; we look forward to shining a spotlight on manufacturing careers and help showcase the importance of the work that is done by manufacturing companies, foster awareness of manufacturing as a viable and rewarding career path, and highlight the positive impact they have within our Region.

For our “Made in the Southern Tier” Manufacturing Day, companies have the opportunity to open their doors for in-person student tours as well as participate in the return of the MFG Day Expo at BOCES Bush Campus in Elmira, NY on Friday, October 6, 2023.
