Sanctity of Human Life Sunday is coming up on January 18, and churches across our community have a powerful opportunity to speak hope, dignity, and compassion for life.

Cornerstone Women’s Health Center offers trained speakers who can share a thoughtful, life affirming message rooted in care for both mothers and babies. These presentations are designed to serve congregations well and encourage meaningful engagement beyond Sunday morning.

If your church is planning a Sanctity of Human Life Sunday service, tag your pastor or church here or send them the attached link so they can learn how to invite a Cornerstone speaker.

Your simple tag could help connect a church with a message that truly makes an impact.

The sanctity of human life is a very important topic to discuss. Contact us to have one of our trained staff present at your organization.

January is recognized as Sanctity of Human Life Month, a time set aside to reflect on the inherent value of every human life.

This observance began in 1984, when President Ronald Reagan issued the first proclamation calling the nation to recognize that every life is created with purpose, dignity, and worth. Since then, Sanctity of Human Life Month has served as a reminder that compassion, care, and protection for the most vulnerable matter deeply.

Because of partners like you, lives are met with hope instead of fear, and families are supported with dignity and respect.

Thank you for standing with us as we honor the value of every life this month and throughout the year.

💭 Have you ever thought about how fast the years fly?

One moment they’re learning to smile, and before you know it, they’re running toward the door in tiny shoes that somehow already don’t fit. ⏳

It’s a reminder that our time to make a difference is limited, but the resources we have to share are abundant.

Whether it’s diapers, formula, clothes, or encouragement, what we give today can lift the weight off a parent’s shoulders tomorrow. 💙

At Cornerstone, we see every small act of generosity turn into something bigger...hope, relief, and a chance for families to breathe a little easier.

Let’s make the most of this season while we can.

It’s that wonderfully awkward week where no one’s quite sure what day it is, the Christmas cookies are breakfast, and the tree lights are still on...mostly because no one wants to take them down yet.

This quiet stretch between Christmas and the New Year gives us space to breathe, to reflect, and to remember why we do what we do.

At Cornerstone, we’re thinking about the moms who walked through our doors this year, the ones who found courage, comfort, and hope when they needed it most. And we’re thinking about you, our community of supporters who made every heartbeat, every smile, and every new beginning possible.

So as you rest, recharge, and maybe sneak another cookie…know that hope is still at work, quietly growing, just like it did that first Christmas night.

Whatever you do best, we probably need it, and the families we serve will feel the impact.

Faith communities have always been the backbone of volunteer service. Nationally, about 20 million Americans volunteer through faith-based organizations each year, yet many centers (including ours) are finding it harder than ever to recruit enough helping hands.

That’s where you come in.

At our Elyria and Cleveland locations, volunteers typically support office staff, help with cleaning and maintenance, assist with special events, and serve as patient advocates. Whether your strength is organizing, listening, teaching, or simply showing up, your time matters.

Every role is important. Every hour helps a parent feel less alone.

Ladies, who was the first person you told when you found out you were expecting?

Now imagine they weren’t in your life at the time.

We exist because for so many women in Lorain and Cuyahoga counties there isn’t a compassionate, listening ear helping them realistically think through their options.

Without that, how might your pregnancy experience have changed?

A few years ago, we were honored to welcome Dr. Evans as a banquet speaker. His words still inspire our mission today: every person is created with infinite worth and deserves compassion and care.

Join us in carrying this vision forward as we serve families every day.

If you’ve never experienced pregnancy, terms like full-term or preterm can sound like medical jargon. But for someone who’s just found out they’re expecting, understanding these words can make all the difference.

At Cornerstone, a huge part of our mission is client education. We meet women at one of the most vulnerable times of their lives, and we guide them through information that can feel overwhelming. That includes explaining what it really means when a doctor says “full-term,” why a baby arriving early might be called “preterm,” and how these details affect both mom and baby.

Because of donors like you, we can offer this kind of education and resources every day, both in-center, and online, free of charge.

Your generosity ensures that each client leaves with more than answers; she leaves empowered to make confident decisions for her pregnancy and her future.

The best advice for new parents is __________.

We’ve all received parenting advice at some point; sometimes we’ve asked for it, sometimes it was shared, ready or not!

Here at Cornerstone, we’ve heard it all, both the wonderful, encouraging advice...anddddd the kind that makes you smile politely and move on. 🙃

What matters most to us is making sure new parents feel supported and encouraged as they step into parenthood.

Fall is about letting go and stepping forward.

The change of seasons is more than weather. For many women who walk through our doors, it means releasing old routines and facing new realities. These new realities may be about finances, sharing the news with family, or even beginning motherhood.

Your support makes their next step possible.

It's more than just helping us manage higher utility costs as the temperatures drop; your donations fund advanced training so our team can give each woman compassionate, up-to-date care. Because of your support, when these moms begin a new chapter, they aren’t doing it alone.

Why We Give 🩵💜

Every hour volunteered. Every dollar donated. Every prayer lifted.
Here’s 10 reasons why we keep showing up for moms, dads, and babies in our community:

Because every parent deserves a safe, judgment-free place to turn.

Because no woman should hear “you’re pregnant” and feel completely alone.

Because babies thrive when parents are supported from the very start.

Because practical help...diapers, classes, ultrasounds...changes lives today, not just tomorrow.

Because compassion speaks louder than opinions.

Because families in Lorain and Cuyahoga counties need a listening ear.

Because hope grows when the community shows up together.

Because serving others reminds us of the best in ourselves.

Because every life has value and dignity.

Because love is an action word.
