The Elyria Foot Clinic in Elyria, Ohio is looking for a personable medical office assistant with a high level of experience and able to perform primarily administrative duties but also able to be involved in clinical duties and patient care.

Duties of this position include greeting and rooming patients, answering multiple phone lines, scheduling appointments, prior authorizations, filing, health insurance knowledge, utilization of Electronic Medical Records and the ability to access online portals such as Carelink, Clinisync and Dr. Connect.

Position requires graduation from Medical Assistant Program.

This position requires the ability to multi-task and to be self-directed in order to handle the many responsibilities of a small medical office. Organizational skills and attention to details are a must. Inventory management, ordering of supplies and the ability to use Quick Books is also the responsibility of this position.

Our private practice clinic offers flexibility, no weekends, or evenings and has a close-knit staff. We strive to offer personal job satisfaction by being able to work closely with the doctor and our patients to provide quality care.

Early findings such as swelling and redness are often mistaken for cellulitis and misdiagnosed. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent severe deformity.

Charcot foot is a condition causing weakening of the foot bones that can occur in people with significant nerve damage or neuropathy. The neuropathy decreases sensation & ability to feel temperature, pain or trauma. Without these sensations, patients may continue walking on injured feet making it worse.

Do you remember the foot x-ray machine in shoe stores? They went by the names of X-ray Shoe Fitter, Pedoscope and Foot-O-Scope! These were used from the 1920's through the 1970's!

Remember when your new school shoes came from a store like this and were always fitted by the clerk?
