Merry Christmas from all of us at Cornerstone. 🎄

To every mom spending her first Christmas with a new baby, and to every mom still waiting, hoping, or getting ready, we’re thinking of you today.

May your day be simple, warm, and full of little reminders that hope really does arrive here, on this beautiful planet we call earth. 💜

All month, we’ve been talking about what hope really looks like.
Not the wishful kind, but the kind that moves.

1️⃣ We started with naming what you want.

2️⃣ Then we talked about finding new ways forward when plans fall apart.

And now, as Christmas gets close, we’re ending with the third part of hope: believing you can take the next step.

That belief doesn’t always come easy.
Especially when you’re tired, behind on gifts, or just doing your best to make it through the week.

But here’s what matters...you’ve kept showing up. You’ve kept caring. You’ve kept trying.

That is hope in action.
It’s not loud or shiny, but it’s steady. It’s real.

As the year ends and a new one begins, remember: hope isn’t something you have to wait for.

It’s something you practice, one small step at a time.

And if you need a bit of extra help, give us a call!

All month long, we’ve been talking about what it really means to say 'Hope Arrives Here'.

Early on, we shared that psychologists describe hope as having three parts:

1️⃣ Knowing what you want.
2️⃣ Finding ways to get there.
3️⃣ Believing you can take the next step.

A few weeks ago, we talked about that first part - identifying what you want, especially after becoming a mom and life shifts overnight.

This week, we’re focusing on the second part: finding your way forward.

Reality is, plans rarely go according to plan.

Babies get sick. Cars break down. Help falls through. And that can make you feel like you’re failing or stuck, but you’re not.

The trick isn’t relying on your plan.
It’s building confidence in your ability to plan again.

Hope grows when you start seeing yourself as someone who can find another way, not just when everything works out perfectly.
It’s getting good at adapting, adjusting, and asking, “Okay, what’s next?”

That’s what we help with here.

Because real hope doesn’t wait for perfect conditions, it learns how to move anyway.

Hope Arrives Here.

Becoming a mom changes everything. But you already know that.

What you may not have expected is how easy it can be to lose track of your goals once you’re taking care of someone else all the time.
The things you used to want might feel far away. Or maybe you’re not even sure what you want anymore, and that’s normal.

But this is where hope starts again.

Not in big dreams or perfect plans, but in small questions like:

➡️ What matters most to me right now?

➡️ What do I miss?

➡️ What’s one small thing that would help me feel more like myself again?

Every mom deserves space to ask those questions, and support while she figures them out.

That’s why we’re here.

Because hope arrives here at Cornerstone.

We’re back with part two of our pregnancy series! 💜

Last time, we walked through the first trimester, and now we’re talking all things second trimester.

From first kicks to stretching aches, every change tells a story about your baby’s growth and your body’s amazing work behind the scenes.

The theme? Look closer. Each change is a sign of something incredible happening.

Save this, or send it to someone who needs the reminder today.

We’ve all said it before... “I hope so.”

But hope isn’t just a feeling. It’s built on knowing what you want, seeing a way forward, and believing you can take the next step.

And you know what? December’s actually a great month for that.

How so?

At Christmas we practice asking for what we want and being honest about it, building a key skill that is necessary for hope to develop.

Thinking about the new year gets your mind focused on the future again, helping to naturally spark thoughts about the road ahead.

And for many people, the holidays just give a little more space to rest and reset.

If you’re reading this thinking, “I don’t have any of those right now,” that’s okay.

You’re not behind, and you’re not broken.

Sometimes hope starts by noticing what’s missing, and letting someone help you find it again.

Expecting a December baby? Here’s what science (and a few fun old sayings) have to say.

Studies from places like the University of Chicago have found that babies born in winter months may have a slightly higher chance of living longer, and research out of Harvard suggests winter-born kids can show a little more focus and patience in early childhood.

Of course, not everything about December babies comes from the lab. People say they’re calm, thoughtful, and full of light. Old souls with good timing who show up just as the year ends and a new one begins.

Whether you believe the science or just love the story, one thing’s for sure: there’s something special about welcoming a baby in December.

If you’re preparing to meet your little one soon, Cornerstone is here to walk with you through every step, winter, holidays, and all.

Important reminder as we head into thanksgiving weekend: It’s okay to not feel grateful every second.

Gratitude isn’t about pretending everything is perfect, especially when your nervous system KNOWS its not. Gratitude is about seeing good in the middle of the unknown. Even in seasons of waiting, change, or challenge, there’s always a small light to be found.

You are brave for showing up each day.

You are strong for continuing forward.

We’re so grateful to walk this journey with you, to remind one another that gratitude isn’t a feeling, it’s a choice to see grace right where we are.

So keep going - you've got this!
